Highly recommend this resort style hotel. 10/10

I love that it definitely felt more like a resort than a hotel. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and all the ammenities were great too. I like that you can order food and drinks from the poolside as well as the rooms. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Ants, a $54 breakfast voucher and the bottom line $

Ants in the beds - they have an ant problem as they were everywhere Breakfast included with accommodation ($333 vs $279 without) $54 for 2 breakfasts included with accomodation - the most expensive item on the menu is $22 so $44 for 2 of the most expensive items on the menu, asked waitress to swap kale for rocket on a $20 breakfast but there would be a $2 additional charge so we left and went somewhere else for breakfast and returned the vouchers to reception i contacted the resort prior and they don’t want to refund the breakfast vouchers, they would rather palm customers off, keep your huge, massive $54 and have the customer unsatisfied than refund you for a service not redeemed the front reception lady was great and helpful! check in was the best part of the hotel, i can’t leave a 1 star review due to the great receptionist, hotel management is only looking at the bottom line $ they’ll use any excuse to keep your cash, money before customer $atisfaction

It was great loved the music in the bar on Friday night . It had everything that we wanted , will be back there to stay

Nice place

Fantastic location. Excellent staff and nice facilities. Seemed recently-ish renovated which was nice.

The music from the bar was quite loud until past midnight on a Saturday night. With a young child this wasn't' ideal.

We will book again at The Island. Great location and value for money

The island is a trendy hotel. We loved hanging by the pool and the staff were lovely. The rooms were lovely and modern and the balcony was great to have a drink on.

It would be great to have a hair dryer or iron and ironing board available in the rooms.

Great spot to stay

The while hotel was gorgeous designed. The rooftop bar was great and food was awesome

Only pity was the windows in the room weren't very sound proof. So although the noise from the streets weren't horrendous the last night there were people outside on the streets hollering and shouting till 2-3am

Great Happy Vibe & excellent location

Great variety with breakfast. Location is absolutely the best. Right in the middlle to Cavil Ave & Surfers. Access to tram,beach & shops at the doorstep. There is a general Hapoy vibe to the place and will definitely return & pick over other Hotels again.

Lots of options on premises and a great location

Rooms could be more sound proofed given the extensive bar facilities in the hotel but ok if you are participating

Good location, friendly staff

The rooms need better sound-proofing from outside noise. It was very difficult to get to and stay asleep all night due to the noise outside from people coming back from clubs/events. We stayed during the week, and I anticipate it would have been even more noisier for longer on the weekends.

My partner and I loved staying here! Room was clean, great location, nice rooftop bar and the room was well set out. (King suite) We will come and stay again for sure.

great location -

the noise it was insane we had to be moved because we could not take the bongo drums any longer. do not stay here if your after a romantic stay. Also it wasn’t worth the $400 price tag

Great size room, modern and clean

Menu - very limited on breakfast choices. Dinner was very limited choices also, and prices on table ordering app do not match menu - table ordering app $3 more??? Price difference raised with a manager that didn't really care. Received an email prior to arrival regarding parking - followed email instructions only to find out carparking is actually onsite at a cost of $25 for 2 days stay. When you first walk into rooms, after being out also, feels like the building is moving, but you get use to it. Seaview is a tiny view through the gaps of 2 buildings. TV apps don't work and trying to stream phone to TV was also useless

the location, was close to everything made is super easy and accessible to food and entertainment

the bathroom was not as clean as it should have been, and the room wasn’t as soundproof as it should have been for the location, you could hear all the noise from the bar downstairs, and the adjacent bars

the retro beach theme. Amenities ie rooftop function room and downstairs disco. parking was good , staff helpful and friendly for private function I was at.

All in all, good stay and location - still can be improved. Was a bit too expensive.

Food was good. Facilities were good, atm was very handy.

Hard to find entry and parking not very easy to get to.

Due localization is too worth it.

The hotel's localization is terrific, everything you need around it and the beach is too close.

The smell bedroom is terrible due to the carpet. We found a cockroach in the bathroom.

The fridge motor was very loud when it turned over every hour or so. I did mention it to staff when we left the property.
