The hotel is situated right on the beach in a perfect location, our room was amazing and looked as though it had been recently renovated. The staff were super friendly and happy to help with any requests throughout our stay.
The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast as the kitchen doesn’t open until later in the day. But this wasn’t an issue to be honest as there are many other cafes nearby for breakfast.

Sea Salt Society is genuinely one of my favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are beautiful, with huge windows overlooking the ocean, so you wake up every morning to the sound of the waves. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are modern, and the excellent air conditioning plus ceiling fan made it really comfortable, even in the heat. With only two rooms in the entire property, it feels peaceful and personal rather than hectic and anonymous like a large hotel. The staff were lovely and so helpful,m and the sun loungers were incredibly comfortable. It’s also right next to a surf school, which is perfect if you’re interested in lessons.
The cocktails were amazing, although a little on the expensive side.

We have mixed reservations about our stay. Without a doubt the room was lovely, tastefully decorated, comfortable and the best hairdryer. However the daily housekeeping wasn’t carried out, no fresh water and the every ‘two day’ room being serviced wasn’t carried out either. We had to ask. This was the more expensive of our 2 month stays around Sri Lanka and the one that didn’t offer breakfast, but from the photos we thought it was going to be super. Sadly not.
The restaurant/sun bed area was lacking in cleanliness. Bits of rubbish & plastic bottles around and not cleared up by the staff who spent most of their time sat around doing nothing. It just felt grubby & uninviting.
We did mention our thoughts to Manoj the manager, he seemed grateful for our comments and said he took on board what we said.
The lacking of cleanliness around the seating and sun bed area and staff just sat around doing nothing.
It was also a bit intimidating having to walking past the staff (men) playing cards to get to use the outdoor fresh water shower.

The room is really good. Clean, big and all you need. Except a watercooker.
The terrace outside at the entrancs is really dirty. Also the way to enter the room ia not so nice.. at the back of the building next to the kitchen. We would not come again because it is overpriced..
