I have been traveling this big beautiful planet of ours now for 15 years. I have seen 50 amazing countries and stayed in all sorts of places.
The hospitality of John Paul leaves me speechless!
Such a kind and caring soul who treats his guests like family.
The accommodations are far more than anyone can hope for! Amazing tranquility and luxury.
My only regret was not discovering this amazing place before.

The accommodation was very clean, well maintained and very comfortable. I spent 6 nights there and found it to be perfect location, far enough away from the main centre but close enough to walk or uber which are very well priced.
The other main factor for me were the hosts Jean Paul and Por his wife. I mean Jean Paul just couldn't have done enough for me with his local knowledge and contacts and both Jean Paul and Por, along with their gorgeous little baby daughter were the perfect hosts.

The location was about 2 blocks from the beach and pretty close to the Malecon. John Paul was a great host and also provided suggestions on activities and lunch/dinner.

Really nice breakfast outside next to the pool. Friendly and well informed owner of the area. Helpfull and fast responses via text messages. Car parked in own parking space with automatic doors. Walking distance to supermarket/restaurants. Handy to have a (rental) car though.

John Paul is a fantastic host. very friendly, provides recommendation for tours, restaurants, things to do. The villa is very beautiful, in a veey nice area, room was spacious, breakfast by the pool amazing. I would definitively recommend it!

this is a great place to stay, we were here just over a week and it was a real home from home. the room, junior suite, was very spacious and super comfortable and clean. bed was a great size and very comfy. lots of places to lounge and lots of hot water for showers-room is cleaned as often as you want. there aren’t loads of rooms here so has a very quiet and personalised and again, home from home feel.
breakfast is excellent and made to order in the lovely cool courtyard by the pool at a time of your choosing.
the location is great, away from the bustle of town but with everything you need close by including a choice of restaurants a supermarket and a beach all walking distance. it’s a short and cheap Uber ride to town or a longer but completely do’able walk.
JP was such a great host. I arrived with a stomach bug and he was so helpful taking me to a pharmacy on day one and when that wasn’t working, a doctor, where he waited to make sure the doctor spoke English and I was ok. completely over and above. he also gives great recommendations for bars and restaurants and will arrange day trips and tours for you, all of which were excellent. thank you for everything again JP.

John Paul's bed and breakfast home in La Paz is amazing! 😀
Everything was super clean, including the swimming pool. Getting around La Paz is easy as you can drive everywhere and find parking quickly. If you don’t have a vehicle don’t worry as you can use Uber to avoid taxis to get you to the malecon or town center. It's only about $4 USD one way.

John was extremely helpful and communicative. My room was very big and the house is very pretty. John booked an awesome tour for me to the Espiruto Santo Island. It’s a good base to explore the area.
It’s 2 min away from a quiet beach.
The pool was cold at that time of year (Feb) as not heated (I didn’t expect it would be), otherwise I’d have had a dip!
It was very slightly out of town (30 min walk) and that meant I usually took Ubers to the Malecon, more for safety as a solo traveler.
I expected to have access to the main living room shown on the pictures as an area to chill. I instead got access straight to the room at the back.
I had the ground floor room which was fine but had no views. The rooms upstairs seems to have views onto the garden and pool, with lovely balconies!

John Paul is personable and willing to share information about La Paz. It is a well-kept property with ample privacy. They have 3 separate accommodations for guests. The full breakfast is deliciously prepared by Hohn Paul and his wife. Parking is secure.

John Paul the host is kind, gentle and made us feel so welcome and at home. He made sure all of our requests were met. He helped arrange rental car, great tours (Isla del Espiritu Santo and whaleshark), places to eat, etc. The breakfast was excellent. The fruit plate was delicious. Made to order, customizable eggs. I had a chorizo scramble and my wife is vegetarian so JP made a vegetarian scramble with avocado and pico de gallo. Toast and a hashbrown to top it off. Like others mention it's a bit outside of town but cheap by taxi and he lets you park inside the complex if you rent a car.

Our room was very nice and super clean. Our very friendly and helpful host John Paul were amazing and provided so much help with tours and travel logistics and general advice, making our first time visit to La Paz as good as it possible could be. This is a small family run B&B with very personal attention. The breakfast each morning was very good. I would definitely stay here again for a future visit to La Paz. The posada is located on a quiet street.
I can't think of anything. At first I thought not being directly in the very center of the Malecon beach area was not ideal, but the location is a short and cheap taxi ride away and with the Didi taxi app (similar to Uber), getting a taxi is very quick and reliable. After staying there for a while, I found it is nice to be in a quieter part of town at night with still a lot of non-touristic restaurants in easy walking distance.

We loved our stay in La Posada Del Tepeyac. It's a B&B rather than a hotel, and John Paul is an extremely attentive host. He'd literally just become a father 2 days before we arrived but still nothing was too much trouble. The room was also great and the breakfasts were delicious!
La Posada is a bit out of town so you have to get a cab in and back or walk (at least 30 mins). We were able to use Uber on the way in and John Paul gave us locations of taxi ranks in town. It would have been great if the B&B provided bikes (there are bike lanes all the way into town), but I know that this is in their plan for the guesthouse.

The place is authentic, quiet, comfortable. The swimming pool is clean, in mid shadow, and at perfect temperature to swim. Good wifi, good TV.
The breakfast is delicious and you can choose from various options, a real meal.
The location is a bit remote, but supersafe, right next to a smooth little beach where local people go, and from where you can admire gorgeous sunsets. Supermarket at walking distance; center and malecon a 5 minutes/80 pesos uber drive.
If you want a place to chill out you can hardly find better, this posada has it all. Special plus is that the rooms stay fresh, and the beds are extra quality and comfort. I'm travelling with some back pain and the beds + the swimming pool were just perfect for me. Or if you wanna treat yourself after some days camping in the wild.. just go for it!

I very rarely write reviews, but this is such an outstanding stay, with such an outstanding host that I wanted to take the time to compliment La Posada del Tepeyac. The amount of help and care that the hosts give you transforms your stay and gives you a totally different experience of the city. The breakfasts are delicious too. A real gem for travellers to La Paz. A little way outside the city centre, but taxis are cheap and easy to get, or a safe and enjoyable 35 minute walk. Once you are there you feel like you are in an oasis of calm, perfect.
