absolutely wonderful stay and will tell our friends to go

easily accessed your points but secluded from crowds. we loved the wood fired stove and hot tub with a view

the beds were a bit firm and if kids turned on a light it shined into our room as well

Exceptional

This is, indeed, a lovely cabin. We love that it is located higher on the hill so that we have some views, but also listen to the birds closer. The owner sent good directions so it was easy to find. Being that it is in a nature preserve made it feel more special. Quiet and peaceful, and we had a great night's rest. One room had a queen sized bed and the other had bunk beds. Bathroom had a washer/dryer which we didn't use, so I can't speak to it's efficiency. The kitchen was well stocked and we adore the dining nook right next to it. The living room is picturesque and we were falling asleep just relaxing there appreciating the scenery and the place.

Superb

A very comfortable cabin with great views and a very nice living space. If we return to Iceland, we would definitely want to stay here again.

No closet to hang clothes.

Very beautiful and clean, but we had to pack beside the car due to steep staircase up to the house.

Please let people know that there is a steep stairway to the house from the road. Fifty-three steps up is not appropriate for senior citizens with heavy suitcases.

Dreamy Cabin in the woods

We could not have asked for a better accommodation. This 1973 Norwegian Cabin is a dream. I feel so happy we spent our time there. Our host answered all of our questions promptly and with such kindness. We will definitely be back.

Amazing place in beautifull Iceland, well located for most tourist attractions

Incredible location on a mountain hill just outside of Hafnarfjörđur. Beautiful cabin with hot tub and fully equipped kitchen. Landlady makes sure everything is clean and we were supported where ever we needed. From the cabin, most of Icelands treasures are within reach by car. The glaciers, volcano, Reykjavik Harbour, Golden circle, blue lagoon and many more we visited on a maximum drive of just over 2 hours (most were far less). A great place to stay! Love to go back again.

Charming cabin in the woods. Easy code access for entry.

All the rooms had windows at the top which permitted for 24 hour day light, as well as a window to the washroom light. Did not sleep very much. Double bed was very small, as well as the entire room. 30 minute drive is not really close to blue lagoon. Door code could be sent days or even weeks before, not the day before, when you are travelling and do not have always e-mail access.

I love the location, the cleanliness and the fact they left us a supply of hot chocolate and coffee which was amazing :)
