Our Tayview Lodge called Tummel was as described but also better in that it had a lovely view, was surrounded by trees with red squirrels, and had a large, safe area for children to play. Able to sit on the terrace in the evening without any midges.
Inside we had comfortable beds in all three bedrooms, two shower-rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining room (great for board games as well as meals) and lots of storage space.
We were very happy with the lodges. Better than we expected.

Location, very easy access onto A9 to access a variety of different places to visit in close proximity. The view from the cabin and the convenience of a gas cooker. The welcome package cakes milk etc on arrival were a lovely touch.
Internet, satellite, phone signal very poor so quite frustrating at times especially when you are watching a program or movie and there is no dvd player available. Heating and hot water on a timer so cold at times and no hot water. No washing machine or facilities on sight. Drainage issues lead to the shower water coming into the lounge as both toilets are in the lounge as it’s open plan. Beds were not comfortable. The group sadly was glad to go home.
