Great location but that is all. Poor value for money, all immensities and fixtures are so dated. Microwave oven has significant areas of paint peeling off inside it. While the windows look lovely the blinds do not block out light at the top arches and we woke at 5am sunrise. Musty smelly bathroom. Stained old towels that are like cardboard. Would not recommend this property.

Amazing little property - we weren't there much due to a family event, however it was the perfect little place for my husband and I. 10min walk to the shops, ocean, markets, everything you need! Although this property is a handy walking location to Manly and has a carpark available, we booked and paid for 2 nights and only stayed 1. The place was freezing cold like a dungeon with a very damp feel to it. The towels were like cardboard and the shower had no pressure behind it at all. The communication was the only positive really which is unfortunate. For only a few dollars more we couldve stayed at a hotel. Next time!

We had a lovely trip to Manly, the studio was everything we needed, super cosy and very close to the beach and high street, loads of good coffee options for the morning as well! Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we come back to Manly! Thanks Dean!

Great location! Good for swimming and walking plus options for other water sports. Just a short walk into Manly and a fair ascent back up the hill. Dean is a great host. Enjoyed my time “a thousand miles from care!”

Comfortable property for a couple. Short walk to town but a serious hill on the way back so factor that in. Driveway quite steep if your car has low clearance. Very clean apartment and comfortable bed.

It was clean and comfortable. Within walking distance from the main hub of Manly. Shopping, wharf, and beach, Oodles of Cafe and eateries. Local bus every 20 minutes. Dean is a great host. Very accommodating and he has a world of information about Manly.

The property was ideal for my needs. The host, Dean, was very helpful and any small issues were dealt with promptly. Parking was included - so important in the Manly district! Location was great for people who liked to walk, and if not there was a free bus stopping just metres from the gate. Quiet, comfortable and having everything needed for a relaxing break. Would definitely book again.

Down the end of the driveway with a garden outlook but an easy walk to the ferry, beaches, and shops in Manly. You can swim in the harbour at the end of the road if the beach is too windy. Perfect size for 2 people.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a beautiful building! I was tickled pink driving up to this Gem! Hidden away but so close to the action, it was great being able to walk to Manly! I have to take a second to mention the apartment windows! So fabulous. The room divider was a great touch. The apartment is clean, most importantly smells clean and fresh, without the use of plugins or scents, no mold and thoughtfully stocked. The off street parking is so handy. We will return for sure!❤

The whole experience from booking online to check out was seamless. Dean was a really pleasant host who made me feel at ease + welcome with great communication throughout. The apartment was absolutely gorgeous. Even better than expected. Close to the beach + shops, all the amenities to ensure comfort. The apartment was very clean and it felt a lot more spacious thanks to the high ceilings + the lovely art deco style windows throughout - with a green/serene garden outlook. I only wish I could have stayed longer! I will definitely be back and as someone who has spent some time in Bondi - I am now a Manly convert! So much to see and some magnificent walks! Thank you Dean!

A lovely couple of days at Dean’s iconic ‘A Dozen Miles from Sydney .. A Thousand Miles from Care ‘ Manly Abode. Loved the period details of the apartment.. and the access to many of our fave Manly attractions.. ( and although there is a steep short hill up to the abode, my Apple Watch applauded me for exceeding my Daily Exercise Goals! ) And yes, the included Parking Space, right by the entrance door was certainly a plus!
