Location. Borough market, the Shard, the Tate, and our weekend highlight the Globe, all a short walk away
Good breakfast
Room 7 (loft room), Velux roof window blind, looked like it had been through a fight with lion!
Completely useless. But this is easily replaced if the pub want to.

Breakfast and lunch were great quality and affordable. The location is very central. All main areas are within walking distance, e.g. Borough Market and the South Bank. Soho and Camden is a bus trip away. Staff are super friendly. The pub itself is one of the nicer ones in the city. There's a late night store nearby and a supermarket just up the road. There are many other pubs and restaurants in the area.
Some of the bathroom doors need maintenance and there's a noisy extractor fan. None of these are major issues. It feels like the shared showers and facilities you might encounter at a camping site. It's a low cost hostel though, so it's expected. Definitely great value for money. They do clean the showers and facilities regularly and the extractor fans dry them out pretty quickly. Cleanliness definitely depends more on the people you're sharing the facilities with than the hostel staff. They do a great job.

The location near Borough Market, very convenient for visiting Southwark area of London, the waterfront, London City and Tower Bridge. They have a very friendly reception and they are available 24 hours. You can even order Pizza at night and there is always free, cold, drinking water available.The bed was comfortable and the sheets and the towels were clean.
The hostel is on top of a pub. On the top floor are 2 rooms with private bathroom, on the first floor are dormitories, shower room and W/C ...the place feels grimy and the carpet is old and smelly. We always wore slippers in our room. Our bathroom was dark, but ok. The lighting was bad due to the small window.
