Location: It was close to so many things that we were interested in (Borough Market, Mac & Sons, etc. and had a Tesco Express close by) and where we could walk to downtown quite easy. :-) But, we walk a lot so are comfortable with that and we are a couple. This may not be the most comfortable location for others (say for a single lady or the elderly) as it was down small streets. (check Google street-view). It felt secure as you had to use room key to even get to where the elevators were and then again in the elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful and were part pf the dining room staff so you had to go there to talk to them but they were always happy to help. Room was clean, and medium-sized (not super-big) but was perfect for us! Bed was comfortable. We loved it.

The staff was very helpful and the room was quite spacious, much less for London. The Tate Modern is two blocks away. Train/subway stations for multiple lines and to Gatwick were within walking distance.

The staff here was the best we’ve ever experienced in any hotel. They did so much to accommodate every need we had, were generous with us and so kind to our children. We were blown away with the customer service! This wasn’t the fanciest hotel, but the service was beyond 5 star!
