The location absolutely central but quiet as next to the cathedral park - the bar closes at 11pm and is very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. Great sized room very comfortable with a place to eat, sofa to relax and a good set of furniture to unpack our clothes- we were travelling to a wedding so it was perfect
The only thing I didn’t like was the plug in air fresheners- and it was difficult to open the windows enough so it got very warm and a bit stuffy

Very nice old inn, lovely staff, perfect location for Winchester, good breakfast. I think we'd definitely book this again on a further visit to the city.
the parking on arrival was a little bit stressful, it would be useful if they sent out the parking map they give you on checking in in advance. Once you know where you can park it's easy.

It was very convenient to things we wanted to see. There were several restaurants within easy walking distance plus the one at the Inn. The shower was great with good supply of hot water. The staff were very helpful. They arranged for a car to drive us to Southampton for our cruise.
The room was on the front of the building and due to heat we had windows open. If we went to bed early could hear noise from people sitting outside of pub.

Location
Limited, difficult access. Very limited parking. Staff was a bit chaotic and disorganized on our arrival. Attempting to work bar, restaurant and check in simultaneously. Too few people.
