Il Giuncheto was hands down one of the highlights of our entire trip to Italy! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and a wonderful place to relax while exploring Tuscany. But what really made our stay special was the people, especially Maila and Francesca!
Maila, the chef, is truly something special. Her food is absolutely incredible, but it’s her warmth and kindness that made such a lasting impression on us. We loved chatting with her every day and enjoyed her cooking so much that we had dinner on the property three times! A word of advice: if you’re having dinner there, skip lunch! The meals are generous, delicious, and you definitely won’t leave hungry. We felt so lucky to get to know Maila and were genuinely sad to say goodbye.
We also loved starting our mornings with Francesca! Her freshly made eggs and cappuccinos were such a treat, but even better was getting to chat with her each morning before heading out to explore Tuscany. Those little conversations made us feel so welcome and were something we looked forward to every day.
We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Il Giuncheto was one of the most memorable parts of our trip. We came for the beautiful Tuscan countryside, but it’s the people we’ll remember most. ❤️
One small thing worth mentioning for future guests is to keep track of the extras during your stay. Between our three wonderful dinners, two bottles of wine, a vineyard tour, and laundry service, we ended up with an additional €660 (over $750) at checkout. We knew these were extra expenses, but hadn’t realized how quickly they added up! It would have been nice to have a running total or an itemized breakdown along the way, just to avoid the surprise at the end. They also sent us off with a small complimentary bottle of wine, which was such a sweet gesture.

Il Guincheto was an absolute dream. Of all our stays during our honeymoon, this one was by far the best. We are already wishing we could go back! The rooms and grounds were absolutely beautiful, and the views were gorgeous. The breakfast and dinners provided were the best we’ve had in our trip across Italy. However, the staff were the best part by far. We felt genuinely cared for by everyone, but especially by Myla and Francesca who always treated us with kindness and care. By the time we left we felt we were saying goodbye to friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to come back one day!

The staff was fantastic. Myla and Francesca are perfect host and the food is outstanding. The vibe was very relaxing. It was a great place to go away and go on day trips from to visit surrounding villages and taken culture and food around the Tuscany area. It’s in a very safe area and has
a gated driveway.

The property is gorgeous. The room was spotlessly clean and very spacious. Breakfast was extraordinary. Make certain you try the plant based cakes as they are amazing. In the mornings Francesca and Julia were friendly and their service was excellent. Maila the chef for dinner is an exceptional chef. We had 2 dinners during our stay and they were amazing. She is also gracious and friendly. These staff members made our stay so much more than a beautiful property!
