O apartamento é confortavel, porém com muitas escadas. Fica bem próximo ao centro histórico de Otranto. Estacionamento na rua.

A property with a feel of a traditional family home in a central location of Monopoli. Very welcoming and professional hosts, gave us lots of pointers and explained all details of the house. Great laundry facilities, very handy for washing and drying your own clothes on a long trip. All city attractions, bars and restaurants are a short walk away.

The property felt secure and was in a convenient location, within easy walking distance of the old town and close to a great café for morning coffee. The host was lovely and welcoming, despite there being a little bit of a language barrier. The property has some traditional charm and was a good base for exploring Monopoli.
The main thing to be aware of is that the property is split across three levels with quite steep stairs, so I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility challenges or who may struggle with stairs. It also made getting suitcases in and out quite difficult, and there was a lot of going up and down between the bedroom, bathroom and living areas.
The bathroom facilities could also be improved. I wasn’t able to get hot water from the upstairs shower, while the downstairs shower/bath is under a very low sloping ceiling - I’m 5’4 and still found myself hitting my head.
Some of the furnishings could benefit from an update, particularly the older iron bed, which felt a little rickety. The property is also quite dark inside. I think a few more modern and practical touches would make a significant difference while still retaining its traditional character.
I did book quite late during peak season, so I appreciate that prices were high generally, but for the rate I paid I felt the property was quite expensive for the overall standard.
