The location in the old city centre is perfect and the wide balconies on both floors give great views over the city. It’s a really comfortable apartment, with good places to sit both inside and out on the upper balcony. The kitchen has all the facilities you need for cooking. A really homely and likeable place in a beautiful old building.
There are quite a few steep steps up to the apartment from the square below, although it’s a much more gradual ascent if you come the longer way round via the lovely Betlemi Street. The stairs between the two levels inside the property are also steep (a handrail would be helpful). I’m 76 and coped easily enough but some may want to consider this. The position above the lively square offered a great vibe of city life in the evening. We enjoyed it but you might not if you’re very sensitive to noise!

The apartment’s overwhelmingly greatest attraction is the view and the large balcony.
But the view comes with two drawbacks: naturally, the many stairs and steep streets, but also the fact that noise travels upward, and the apartment’s location above a very busy square means there is constant background noise from traffic, police cars, and, in the evenings, music from bars and nightclubs.
