Geräumige Wohnung mit großer Terrasse. Es ist zwar nicht das "Penthouse", aber die Terrasse ist schön groß und schattig. Die Wohnung und damit auch die Terrasse zeigen nach Norden; so daß - zumindest im Oktober - keine Sonne auf die Terrasse scheint. Das kann bei 40° Außentemperatur auch ganz nett sein.
Alles was wir brauchten, haben wir vorgefunden. Nach 5-Minuten Laufweg gab es einen kleinen Supermarkt, der aber alles führte was wir brauchten. Unser Host war quasi immer erreichbar um Fragen zu beantworten oder anderweitig weiterzuhelfen.
Für den Fluglärm kann niemand; ganz Nord-Heraklion ist davon bestroffen.
Das Haus hat 4 Etagen, die Wohnung ist in der dritten Etage - ohne Lift. Viel Spaß beim Hochschleppen der Koffer. Irgendwas ist immer. Was uns zu unserem Glück gefehlt hatte war eine Mikrowelle; aber da kommt auch dieses Apartment an seine (räumlichen) Grenzen.

The host left a wonderful watermelon for us on the fridge, together with a wine bottle, which became our standard brand of wine since.
The view was gorgeous, and we had our happy hour drinks on the terrace. The location was very good and everything was reachable on foot.
The location stood on the take-off path for the planes leaving Heraklion. Which meant that every 30 minutes a plane passed by very loudly.

Host George was helpful in making it a smooth process in getting to and accessing the penthouse space..
The bottle of red wine and fruits that greeted us was perfect..
The space was cosy and everything we required was there. All amenities were within strolling distance of the apartment for food and supplies. the balcony area allowed us an amazing view across to the port of heraklion..
Any questions were answered immediately and recommendations provided for activities throughout our stay..
In short we will return to Greece!
And 5 ⭐ to the host who made it a warm and comfortable experience for me and my partner katy. Efcharisto!
