The journey from Ørneberget stasjon to the lodge is extremely challenging. Me and my friends we were carrying 2 luggages and backpacks. For return route, we took a 3KM walk to the next Ljosanbotn stasjon. It was experiential walking.

Location is very good when you are traveling by car.
If you are traveling by train access to hotel is through risky mountain. Not at recommended with family

The surroundings were beautiful
The place wasn’t clean and didn’t have basic facilities for cooking etc. it also seemed overpriced considering it’s state.
The road to get there was horrible not maintained and to say it the least dangerous.
