I liked that it had everything we needed, a kitchen, separate toilet, a modern bathroom. Location was good, close to the mall and the station.
I didn’t like that the sleeping area and the kitchen and dining and bathroom didn’t have blinds or curtains. I am guessing it is because it is what happens at traditional Japanese ryokans, but made it hard as meant kids were waking at like 5am with the sun. Also felt quite exposed every time had a shower and anyone outside could see us.

デザインがとてもいいお宿でした♪エスプレッソマシーンあり美味しくいただきました〜！庭も綺麗で灯もとても素敵でした♪
丸見えなので、お風呂とリビングに和紙のブラインドとかあるといいかもしれません。
玄関入ると灯の位置が分かりづらいので、自動点灯だといいかと。入口が蚊が多いので虫除けあるといいです。

The location is only 10 minutes or so walk from the main Kyoto station, it is close to food shopping and is in a quiet neighbourhood. The downstairs area is lovely, a big open plan bedroom, reasonable kitchen and nice bathroom overlooking the tiny garden.
The attic upstairs where our son slept was pretty cramped, you couldn’t really stand up in bed due to the sloping roof and we couldn’t get the air conditioning unit upstairs to work despite several messages and correspondence with the owners.

Great location and authentic Japanese style living
Dusty and bed/pillows very uncomfortable aswell as no where to sit comfortably,only hard dining bench seats ,would be great to have 2 lounge chairs to relax
