A cachet and a view you will find nowhere else.
Part of the cachet, but the rooms are not so soundproof and the toilets/showered shared. but we knew it.

It is a unique experience to stay in this place. Be aware that you'll have to walk there!
The hotel is very old and in some parts inside this is still obvious, e.g. the toilets (one per floor). Also the rooms are basically left in their original style which gives all the charm. The floors are creaking with every step. You really feel like spending the night in the year 1900.
But then the dinner and the breakfast were of the best standards of nowadays, delicious and innovative.
Though a bit pricey, I did enjoy my night a lot !
It's true that 1 toilet per floor was a bit limit, plus not enough toilet paper. But that was a small point to criticize in comparison to the rest of this wonderful experience.

Fantastic location, good food, empathic staff.
The place is between luxury and rustic, and it doesn't work, sorry. Either it's a grand hotel or it's a hut, pick one of the two, not both!
The staff didn't manage the presence of a large group. No warning, no anticipation, little apologize: no excuse.
