The property is very nice. The host and his wife are very kind and do everything so that that guest feel comfortable. The breakfast is made with a lot of love and a typical Italian add on each day. The hosts cooks himself and bread and cake are homemade each day.
When we arrived we got a welcome drink and a welcome snack.
The garden is a jewel and the pool is very nice.
It is not a dislike, just a tip: the property is about 6 km from Lagos Center on a sunny hill. You should have a car to get there. The next restaurant is 1.5 km away. But we can recommend it: Taberna das Portelas.

We felt very well taken care of by Renato and Rosanna during our stay. They were happy to make sure we had anything we needed and could offer advice for how we could spend our time in the area. The breakfast each morning was fresh and thoughtfully prepared in the open glass-walled kitchen next to the pool, which was a perfect way to start the day! The room was quite large and opened right out to the pool, where we were able to relax on loungers with umbrellas. We wish we were able to stay longer!
The property is a little far from town to walk, but we had no problem getting an Uber for the 10 minute drive in. There is parking on site if you have your own car.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Sun Hill. Renato and Rosanna are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome from our arrival until our departure. We had a spacious room on the first floor and enjoyed using the pool area to relax during our stay. There is a guest fridge to store items if you wish and you can buy beer and wine from Renato's cellar if you wish.
Renato prepares breakfast every morning and this is included in the room rate. Come with an appetite - each morning there is fruit and yoghurt and home baked cake followed by whatever Renato is cooking on the day. I don't usually eat breakfast but I had to make an exception here :-)
This is the best place we have stayed on our whole trip through Spain and Portugal. You feel like you are family or good friends by the end of the stay. Renato even took my husband to his barber while we were staying so he could get a hair cut.
