We stayed in the larger cabin on our way to wellington with our 2 kids (10 & 11) The property managers were so incredibly kind and accommodating. They gave us tours of the animals on the farm and the kids got to have a lot of interaction with the animals. Evening on the deck at sunset was gorgeous and the cabin was very cozy. We felt it was a great value for the cost and were so blown away by the hospitality and comfort we felt there it was difficult to leave. This will 100% be a favorite stop for travels through the north island. It was also ideally located between Lake Taupo and Wellington so it broke up the drive nicely. But even if you cant spend the night the Cafe was fantastic, food was delicious, fresh baked confectionaries, homemade soups, and lots of other options. There is a great play area and maze for the kids to stretch their legs and a bounce house for them to get that pent up road trip energy out. We cant wait for I return!

Perfect for what we needed it for, late arrival for sleep and a early morning start
The toilets are a small walk away, our kettle was broken unfortunately and the mattress was abit uncomfortable
