About this cabin rental
Situated in Wisconsin, this attractive cabin for $466 per night is a great option for your next trip. Beautiful 2600 square foot log home located right on the shores of majestic Lake Superior. The lake home has all the amenities including: WIFI, Amazon Alexa, cable TV, three stone fireplaces, glass block shower, SAT HD TV with four TVs including a 65" HDTV in basement, 50" HDTV in master, 40" and 43" in other two bedrooms, three DVD players (including a blu-ray), 100 DVD library, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu on all TVs, CD collection, and 100 year old barn-wood siding in the basement. We also have Bose speaker systems on all three levels. A designer kitchen including a copper sink imported from Mexico with all new stainless appliances, unforgettable vessel sinks in all bathrooms including a petrified wood and hammered copper sink, and a custom log wet bar are other highlights! The home has two decks, with a large Weber grill and also a great fire pit lined with huge boulders to relax with a drink. A recent elaborate landscape job blends the beauty of the lake with the log property. The views from the decks and inside the lake home are spectacular looking at the open water and also a rugged cliff that lines the bay. This cliff is home to a falcon family. There is also an eagle's nest on the far side of Enchampment Island. The home also has a sauna. It has a huge master bedroom and bath with jetted tub and is tastefully decorated with antiques/knickknacks from around the world. The basement has a queen sleeper and a 3/4 bathroom for a comfortable private area for two people. Play cards or bumper pool on the custom made log game table in the basement. Better yet, pour yourself a drink from the unique log wet bar in the lower level family room. There is a short walking path to the pebble beach. The beach is beautiful, about a mile long, 40 yards deep, and a great area to agate hunt. This lake home is very unique, rustic yet upscale, cozy, and one of a kind! You will not want to leave. Additional items you need to know: 1) You need to be at least 25 years old to book my cabin. (Someone in your group has to be at least 25 years old.) 2) Our base daily rate is for 4 people with a $25 per person per day for each additional guest. MAX of 6 guests. 3) The maximum amount of people there at one time is 6, which includes the renters and any short-term daytime guests. For example, 6 paid overnight renters can NOT have any short-term day-time guests. 4 paid overnight guests can only have a maximum of 2 short-term daytime guests. We cannot host wedding receptions and large gatherings of any type. Note that daytime guests can stay only a short period of time. If they stay the whole afternoon, there will be an additional $25 charge for each. 4) Lake County limits four cars on the premises at one time. You can park three cars down below and one on the turnout on top of the driveway. IF YOUR VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE 4-WHEEL DRIVE, IN THE WINTER you may want to park in the upper parking space on top of the hill due to possible heavy snow. The driveway is steep. We do have a snow removal service but sometimes there can be a delay in a heavy snowstorm. 5) Please respect our neighbors' privacy and keep your noise level down when you’re outside. 6) Note that the Department of Health limits us to providing only salt and pepper for spices. If you need additional spices, please bring them. 7) Bring your own firewood if you’re going to build a fire in the fire pit. Fires are strictly prohibited on the beach.

Location was nice. We loved being able to spend time down on the shore. Very quiet and relaxing. Some negative things: Very small area to park, some dishes were dirty when we wanted to use them, some chairs had food and dust between the cushions, very musty smelling in the basement. This place could use a good once over for cleaning.

We had a great stay at this house. The house is equipped with everything to make the stay comfortable. We had 6 adults with us and that made the small twin beds a little challenging, but we made it work! If you want peace and quite, then this place delivers. The house was very clean and everything worked. The steps into the place could use some repair as they are old and a little rickety. Do keep your food covered as the house is in the forest and we did have a mouse encounter. If in the area, we would certainly stay here again.

Super unique property, lots of interesting decor. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked (only thing we really missed was aluminum foil). We absolutely loved the beach. We spent hours enjoying the view and looking for agates. Definitely one of the best agate beaches on the North Shore. Thought the location was great with the convenience of Two Harbors 10 minutes away while being less than an hour from 4 great state parks.

We had such a great stay at this cabin! The views are gorgeous! The accommodations were perfect and most of our needs were met! The only thing we wish we had was some cooking spray/oil. I usually don’t pack these as most vrbo’s supply it. We had some interesting cooking experiences because of this haha!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was well stocked with everything we needed & the master bed was comfortable. The other beds were ok. We had the beach to ourselves & is lovely. We loved having the doors open to hear the waves in the evening. The only downside is the outside of the property is very poorly maintained & not very useable. The seating on the upper deck is old, snags your clothes, & dirty. The driveway is very overgrown and scratches your vehicle when you pull in & the back property is very overgrown with thistles & weeds. The entire home could use a deep clean on the inside. The outside is in desperate need of a power washer, trimming, and furniture needs to be updated for the price it is listed.

We had stayed at this property a couple times about ten years ago. Not sure if it has new owners or what but it was not very impressive this time around. The one thing it has going for it are the views, they are amazing.
There is a lot of stuff around the house, it is super cluttered and dusty. Lots of fake trees and even decorative stuff sitting around on the ground. We had a smaller kid with us (6 years old) and constantly had to be on her to not touch things Because of all the clutter it was hard to even set our stuff down anywhere. The nightstands, the kitchen table everything has decorative stuff on it. There's no where to set your cloths or anything. Also because of this clutter the house was dirty. My son and I both have bad dust allergies and instantly stuffed up when we got into the house; we ended up having the windows open 24/7 and that helped some, but we were all happy we brought our stronger allergy meds along.
There are a lot of maintenance issues here as well. Once of the faucets was leaking and had a handle that kept falling off. The fire pit was so full of weeds it was unusable. The furniture on the deck is very old, wobbly, and left splinters. The path down to the lake was blocked by large patches of nettles, my husband and son tried to go down there and it was a mess.
There were dishes and a very minimal number of towels. The hand soap provided was mostly water, so we ended up going out and buying our own.
We did enjoy the bumper pool table in the basement. Again, though the basement was very mildew smelling and the bumper pool table itself was in pretty bad shape and very dirty. There were lots of carpenter ants inside, we kept finding them...some regular Home Defense application would help with this. The mosquitos were awful outside. I know it's Minnesota, I live in rural MN as well, but you can treat around the house for both the ants and mosquitos.
Not sure what happened to this property over the years but we definitely won't be staying again. For the rather expensive rental fee this is definitely not worth it. We were all happy to leave and ended up heading out early.

This place was even better than described! I didn’t realize how close it was to Lake Superior. Super friendly neighbors (we introduced ourselves as we ran into them on the beach) and kids had a blast. Would definitely come again!!

We loved this cabin!! It is a don't miss, if you're heading this way. The decor is jaw dropping, with amazing items of interest everywhere you look. My favorite is the armadillo carving in the master bedroom! Every amenity you could ask for is available here. The views of Lake Superior are magnificent, from inside on every level, and from the very comfortable deck. The beach is accessible with just a short walk. The location is great for North Shore access. We also took Tofte Charters out for a morning of laker (lake trout) fishing. We can't say enough about Captain Darren Peck. We've limited out both times we've chartered with him. Ask the locals about Rustic Inn and Betty's pies. We would love to rent this piece of paradise again, next time life takes us to the North Shore. Thank you for making this special place available!

The house was definitely much larger than what was needed for the 2 of us, but it was definitely something we would consider renting again along with our 2 college-aged kids. They could have their own space downstairs if they wanted and we could still enjoy our peace and quiet. Thank you for the wonderful, much needed vacation.

The property exceeded our expectations in every way possible in everything from the arrival process to the cleanliness and the quality of the appliances (couldn’t even hear the dishwasher). We were out and about during the day, but we always had the return to our temporary ‘home’ to look forward to. Before we arrived, we were somewhat concerned about the privacy being right on the main road. As it turned out, privacy was not an issue - we couldn’t see or hear anything except some birds and the the shoreline. The house was definitely much larger than what was needed for the 2 of us, but it was definitely something we would consider renting again along with our 2 college-aged kids. They could have their own space downstairs if they wanted and we could still enjoy our peace and quiet. Thank you for the wonderful, much needed vacation.

The home was in a beautiful location. VRBo made the property sound pristine by the listing, however, some thing were worn and/or broken. My husband fixed the bathroom sink on the main level, as it was stripped. The microwave knob pops off everytime you use it. Not huge deals, but annoying when paying a fair amount for the weekend.
The home was Really cold when we arrived. set at 50 degrees I believe. etc Beautiful home in a beautiful setting but a bit disappointing. I had messaged the owner who never msg me back . In the description we were warned about neighbors that did not like renters, so we felt uncomfortable being outside, as the neighbors were so close. I do not think we will rent this property again.

The house was very clean and was exactly like the owner explains. The main floor was a little small for 7 of us but the basement footprint was perfect. The beach was our favorite spot to be. It was a short walk that my kids (3,7) could easily do and when we left the house their arms were sore from throwing so many rocks. We are excited to come back another time.
