Roça Santo António Ecolodge

Hotel verdaderamente lujoso para la media en STP. El hotel tiene bonitas y amplias habitaciones alrededor de una piscina muy cuidada. La habitación tenía aire acondicionado a raudales. El desayuno era sobresaliente, con gran cantidad de frutas tropicales, bollos de pan, un porridge dulce y bizcochos. El hotel cuenta con su propio restaurante, que usamos y cenamos muy bien. Está fácilmente accesible desde la carretera principal.

La habitación tenía mucha humedad, con el espejo del baño permanentemente con vaho. Está pared con pared con un pueblo así que a veces se oía la música que ponían los vecinos, aunque acabaron pronto.

We spent 2 nights at this accommodation option, and while it was suitable, the hotel is starting to show signs of wear. While the gardens are expansive, the overgrown lawns gave a derelict feeling to the whole place. Through Booking.com, we were given an upgrade to a pool view room, which was nice. We appreciated the daily cleaning, and the breakfasts (and dinners taken there) were really good. The TV showed 3 static channels only, which isn't a problem if you have a stable internet connection and can live stream. We, unfortunately, did not have a good connection, which was just a tad frustrating in this day and age. The location is off the main road, some distance from the nearby town of Santana. A vehicle is necessary for getting here and around. We had bicycles with us, which made for some good rides from the hotel, but walking anywhere would be quite a chore.

The wifi was the worst we've experienced in all of Sao Tome.

The guest house premises are really beautiful with a pretty garden, pool. The staff are very nice, friendly, welcoming. The restaurant on the premise is really delicious and we really enjoyed the food. The breakfast in particular is delicious, generous, and fresh.

first room wasn’t clean, they moved us to another one. there isn’t a door to separate the bed and the toilet. too expensive for the value offered
