It was a lovely little room for a one night stay.
It was a bit warm for my liking but I liked the fan in the ceiling , which helped , incorporated with the ceiling light.
Being a bar/restaurant I expected it to be noisy but any noise was not intrusive.
I help out in a cat rescue centre near home so was delighted to meet ' Bongo ' next morning ( at least I thought it was him! ) whilst I was waiting for my taxi ! I thought he was the Landlord surveying the scene , bless him !

Room was a bit warm for me but heat rises of course and unless it is air conditioned is hard to prevent. The fan was nice tho' !

Location.
Stairs!!! And no fan in our room - unseasonably hot and despite having the window open, there was simply no breeze, making the room very uncomfortable. Additionally, our room faced out over Oxford Street and be a Friday night. The noise from the crowd downstairs was horrendous plus lots of doors, banging and marching up and down the staircase, but for one night we put up with it, but I doubt I would stay here again unfortunately it’s just too noisy..

We liked being above the pub and next door to several restaurants on a pedestrian-only street. Also a short walk to the ferry to the Isle of Wight.
The room was very warm (no air conditioning) and the toilet was tricky to operate. Also there were two flights of steep, narrow stairs up to the room, which we were aware of but didn’t like. The pub staff was extremely helpful with helping us carry our baggage up the stairs, though.
