Disappointing

The apartment is spacious and a short walk away from the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. There is a fan available and a washing machine

Keys had to be picked up in the center of Porto, in a keylocker that looked like I could have just well hanged closer to the house itself. Bed was so noisy we woke up at night because of our own movements. Didn't sleep well either of course Pictures don't show the broken lamps and dirty inside of the bathroom furniture. There was no towel to dry dishes.

Only the location has met my expectations - not far from the ocean, easy access to downtown with public transport

The appartment was not sufficiently clean. Several details were obvoiusly not cleaned since weeks or years: the ceilling lamps in the kitchen and the ventillator were covered by dust and fat, the electrical plug near additional bed for children was without isolation, in the bathroom several places were covered by dirt and germs, the toilet brush had a broken handle, the towel racks didn't hold on to the walls, the shelves and the cabinets in the bedroom were covered by dust, probably not cleaned since a longer time, even some sticky female strings were not removed by the room service, the laundry dryer was rusted, most of the walls require to be re-painted. The general impression of cleaness and sanitary conditions is negative to very negative. Broken stove, unable to use kitchen at all, no reply from owner

The lady who handed us the keys was friendly and helpful.

The stove was super dangerous so we were unable to use it. The buttons to adjust the gas were completely broken. The kitchen was the main reason we choose this apartment but in the end we were not able to cook at all because of this. This apartment should not be rented out like that. We were asked to reach out to the owner via Booking.com’s platform so we did it, asking for some compensation. No reply for more than 1 month.

Passable

The place was fairly clean and aesthetically pleasing, but not so much “around the edges”, per se. Many things broken. The Porto Concierge service touts itself as like a hotel, but the cleanliness was not up to the standard of most hotels I stay at. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the space, despite its need for some maintenance.

The “surprise” I didn’t like at all was that I had to pick up the key from one of their designated pick up spots. If it was as they claimed that “for sure” one of them would be 5 to 10 minutes away from the apartment it would have been fine, but it took me over an hour to go into Porto, pick up the key and then get to the apartment. They said I could pay an extra 10 euros and have the key delivered, but to me that seems ridiculous. There was nothing said about this in the preview of the apartment in Booking.com and when I contacted the “concierge service” they wouldn’t bend. In the end the amount (in off season) was reasonable for the apartment, but the surprises and the lack of attention to the apartment(also there was a beautiful gas stove, but no gas connected. Only the small electrical burner worked) made the stay a bit off. If you stay here, it would be good know these things before. In our case, it feels a bit sneaky and dishonest.

Exceptional

Great place to visit Porto. It is located near the beautiful beach which is accesible on foot. Area is calm. It's really close to metro, so there is no need to rent a car. Appartment has enough space for 4 people. It was clean. The balcony is spacious, so it's nice to eat a dinner there. The kitchen is well equiped, so it's easy to cook on your own.

Nice place, but bad customer care/service!

The house was really nice, big and clean.

I was without hot water for 2 days and didn’t get any compensation or alternative solution.
