The cabin was great and Donna went all out decorating for Christmas and my wife’s birthday. Communication with the owner was great. We were very pleased.

Everything is as pictured. Donna is a great host. She made sure we had snacks, drinks and breakfast items for our stay. The cabin was decorated for Christmas which added a special touch to our trip. We will be back!

Excellent, perfect, wonderful…those are the words to describe Ms. Donna’s Lakeside Retreat. Cozy, warm, inviting…this little cabin is perfect for your little get-a-way. Ms. Donna had everything so nicely decorated for Christmas. She is wonderful. Everything you need she has there:coffee, tea, creamer, yogurt, snacks, eggs, bacon…anything and everything she has it there awaiting your stay. Best place I ever stayed with using VRBO. In case, you haven’t gotten how wonderful this place is and in case you didn’t understand the title….just stop looking for a place anywhere in this area and book this little cabin. Close to dawsonville, close to daglongea, close to Helen, convenient easy to get to any of these places. Oh, and the heated bathroom floor was just the icing on the cake! 😊

Donna is a spectacular hostess -provided drinks, goodies, breakfast items - checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed - even helped us take out our luggage - super kind and wonderful lady! This was an anniversary trip for me and my husband and one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at! Donna was an amazing host and answered every question we had she had the fridge stocked with our favorite drinks and breakfast options for our next morning there plus a super sweet anniversary card with champagne waiting for us when we arrived. She even hung a happy anniversary sign above the bed. The house was super clean and comfortable the cabinets were fully stocked with everything you might need to cook with even a wide array of spices. The bed was so comfortable probably the best I’ve had at a rental property and the bathtub was super relaxing. I cannot say enough good things about this property and host. We will definitely be staying here again soon!

I travel a lot and stay in MANY private options. This is BY FAR the best experience I have ever had. The level of hospitality that Donna provides is the highest bar you can find. Think 5* hotel…. But I don’t want to give away all of her secrets… you have to experience them for yourself!!! ENJOY as much as I did 💯

We had an amazing experience! Our cabin was spotless and Donna was amazing. No need to stop at the grocery store before coming here. Donna ensures there are plenty of snacks, Coffee and breakfast options. We were close to everything. Thanks for the wine too Donna! You are a wonderful hostess.

Everything you have read about this place is so accurate. Donna was so pleasant and attentive. She met me at my car and made sure I was happy with her place. She even decorated for my birthday and added a little something special to my romantic getaway. Donna, I will be returning sooner than you think. I loved it.

This property isn’t as described, it’s better! The cleanest place you’ll ever stay. Nothing has been overlooked and everything is top notch. The cabin is located in a very nice neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of surrounding areas. It’s only a 10 minute drive to restaurants and the Dawsonville Premium Outlets. I highly recommend this place if you’re staying in the area.

This cabin and owner are amazing. The cabin is located in a quiet picturesque setting. The owner was there when we arrived and even helped us unpack. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. She had snacks, beverages and food options that were for us to enjoy. The property was nicely decorated for fall. We enjoyed spending time on the porch enjoying the area and using the outdoor fire pit. The property is close to many area attractions and just down the road is a peaceful park that we sat and enjoyed the lake.

What a lovely experience. Seamless check in, spotless, quiet little neighborhood on/near the lake, access to town. Beyond everything else though, was the thoughtfulness of the property manager. Kinda blew me away.

My husband and I got away a few days to celebrate my birthday and when we arrived at the cabin Donna, the owner, left a birthday card, table decoration, bottle of wine and a “Happy Birthday” banner over the bed! That was just the beginning! We spent the days exploring wineries, mountains, Helen, etc but being in the cabin was truly the best thing about the whole trip! It was absolutely beautiful and cozy. Everything was perfect! The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous (even a heated floor), kitchen was well stocked, smelled great. We will definitely be going back! Best birthday I’ve ever had!!

This was a perfect place to stay for our long weekend of hiking. The cottage is exactly as pictured and had everything we needed. Donna was so welcoming. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area, hopefully for a longer stay.

Where to begin?! Everything about our short stay at this little cabin was amazing. This is probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed at! The property is such a charming, beautiful little cabin, perfect for a couple. Everything has been perfectly appointed, beautifully decorated and is very clean and modern. The host, Donna, was attentive to every detail and made us feel at home! She left us a note to welcome us, included a basket of snacks, drinks in the fridge and every amenity you could need. She was incredibly responsive via text, and was available for anything we may have needed (although she had already thought of everything!). From enjoying coffee on the deck, to relaxing in the comfortable king bed, to soaking in the jetted tub (while watching TV!), we enjoyed every minute of this little gem. Book this property if you want a beautiful place to recharge, relax and forget about the stress of everyday life!

Host was really thoughtful in the little details, she asked for drink preferences and left snacks AND breakfast items. After a couple of nights in hotels on the journey, it was great to land somewhere warm and homey. Perfect place to rest while visiting family. I loved sipping coffee and reading on the deck.

It becomes readily apparent that Donna derives an unalloyed pleasure in her role as a host, leaving her guests on Cloud 9. She accomplishes this with an artful non-intrusiveness. In the ballet of hospitality, she is the prima ballerina assoluta. The property itself is an exemplar of perfection. The décor is a symphony of taste and elegance. The experience of relaxing, bathing, or crafting a meal within its confines is such that words cannot accurately describe. The bath was nothing short of a divine experience, made all the more decadent by the addition of an accompanying television to indulge in during the jet-propelled relaxation session. Donna has orchestrated an absolute masterclass in VRBO management. Any couple with an eye for vacationing in the area would be well-advised to secure a booking at this property. Its charm is unparalleled, its value is unprecedented, and with Donna at the helm, it is nothing short of heavenly. There is no scope for missteps, and its lavishness belies its price tag. All told, this cabin may very well be a terrestrial manifestation of paradise.

First of all let me say this was the best VRBO experience I have ever had. I have experience with pictures that far exceeded the actual place. Such disappointments. This place was better than the fabulous pictures on line. Well decorated with many wonderful amenities, a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, toaster, crock pot, etc and a bathroom with a huge air tub. The beautiful deck with seating to relax or to have a meal outside and with a fire pit and grill. I can’t say enough great things about the venue. The next fabulous part of this VRBO was the location that supported great day trips. Dahlonega, Helen, Amicolola Falls, Jaemor Farms in Alta, Ellijay, Commerce and many wineries. All of these are less than an hour drive. This was one of the most fun and relaxing trips which was the purpose of the trip. Finally what to say about the hostess. Donna was amazing. Reached out before we arrived to see what we liked to drink. Bottled water were in the refrigerator, a basket full of snacks and pastries and our favorite drinks. We didn’t need Donna for anything during our stay but she checked in on us just in case. It was special care during our trip. You need to experience this place! Thank you to Donna. We WILL be back.

Donna's place was so wonderful! She went above and beyond by providing snacks and refrigerator staples for us, left us a handwritten note, and even a bottle of wine! The home was very clean and comfortable and we truly felt like we were on a retreat during our stay. We look forward to booking with Donna again and would recommend her property to our friends!
