Vathi ist DER Ort auf der Insel.

Sehr schönes kleines Hotel mitten im Ort. Modern eingerichtet und mit großem Bad. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und es werden persönliche Wünsche weitgehend erfüllt. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und hilft wo auch immer nötig. Teilweise wird deutsch gesprochen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und ein (öffentlicher) Parkplatz ist direkt am Haus.

Durch die zentrale Lage ist es nachts mitunter recht laut. Schlafen bei offenem Fenster kaum möglich.

A lovely small boutique hotel with a great location. The breakfast was super lovely (all made at the hotel by a nonna, who makes even her jams and granola from the scrath).

Excellent hotel in the city

Our stay was excellent at Familia. Very well renovated hotel, extremely kind and helpful staff and a very good breakfast as well. They even made a small pre-breakfast just for us as we had an early 6am checkout. Plenty of parking space just outside. I would definitely come again!

Excellent hotel in good position

It is located adjacent to a car park with a walk of 100 metres or so to the sea front . It is a very quaint building being re constructed in a modern method from an old olive oil crushing factory with many retained pieces of the original building and machinery. There is a well shaded eating area for the supplied breakfast.

Charming, welcoming and romantic.

Delightful hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! Location was central but quiet.

A Centrally-Located, Comfortable, Clean And Convenient Exceptional Hotel

I enjoyed my short stay at the Familia Hotel very much. It's in a great location, located in the centre of Vathi very close to the many shops, restaurants and cafés in the area. The rooms are very comfortable, convenient, clean and well-appointed, and the breakfast provided was excellent and of top quality. Check-in was a breeze and the staff were very forthcoming, welcoming and helpful. I had a great stay!

Favourite place we stayed whilst in Greece

Super warm and helpful staff, who advised us on our travels and who accommodated a last minute change in dates. Stylish hotel decor, unique building, and comfortable bed. We slept really well. Breakfast also fantastic, freshly made and varied by day. We loved it here and hope to be back.

Super nice and lovely, helpful owners, wonderful breakfast, comfortable bed. New, fresh, comfortable, clean feel. Bathroom exceeded expectations.

"Attic" windows doesn't bring so much natural light in to the room. A little bit overpriced.

The location very good. In the center of Vathi No fuss. The space and the decoration are wonderful The breakfast is very nice with fantastic handmade apple pie and leekpie that you should definitely try. Everyone at the property is very kind and helpful.

Great location and very comfortable.

Well located, great staff, and a unique hotel. Very well finished and was very comfortable.

A relatively minor point but there were a lot of flies in the room which did get slightly annoying.

Cosy stay in Vathy

The room is really cosy, well decorated, during winter the room is warm and it’s really not so often in Greece! The homemade breakfast with eggs, bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt, marmalade, and fruits, is also really good!

You feel like one of the family

The only thing which could have been better is there are no tea & coffee making facilities in the room.

This is an old converted olive processing facility, which has been restored to a wonderful standard with some of the old facilities incorporated into the renovation. Rooms are decorated very well. Buffet breakfast is well presented with the owners treating you like one of the family. A very good experience, despite the cyclone that was affecting the whole of Greece at the time. Certainly one to return to.

Treasure in the heart of Ithaca. An ancient olive press converted into a beautiful, decadent hotel.

The incredible architecture created an atmosphere of luxury steeped in ancient island history. The staff were friendly, approachable and informative. The bedrooms were grand, featuring high ceilings and decor arranged to perfection. The location was exceptional, only a stones throw away from the harbour, shops and restaurants of Vathy. The breakfast was homemade, considered and delicious, from pie to greek yoghurt and honey; we were spoilt for choice and left the hotel looking forward to our next visit.

Superb

Fantastic location. Central for the tavernas and shops and harbour. A very modern conversion of a traditional Ithacan building. Fabulous decor. We had a very large double brdroom with modern en-suite shower. The owner was on hand and could not have been more helpful.

Living up to its name!

Very intimate and cosy hotel with just a few rooms. Great location in the port of Vathy. Very nice staff and accommodating.

Outstanding hospitality and excellent service. Friendly, nice and helpful hosts. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable and the hotel is in great location in the the centre of Vathy - free parking right next to the hotel. The breakfast was homemade and delicious. Totally recommend this place!

A delightful place, staff efficient yet friendly, place greatly located.

The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of home baked pies, cakes etc. Very good coffee, fresh juice. If there is one thing I could suggest is the addition of a few local products, like olives and cheese.

You’re like family there

The staff is what makes this place shine. The room are very nicely renovated and spacious. The staff is friendly and easy to talk to and you will have homemade breakfasts everyday. They also cook things during the day and share them with you sometimes while there was good coffee readily available anytime. Best part is they will lend you bikes for free
