amazing view
they have stray dogs running around the property which obviously can be dangerous as they can carry diseases and bite.
i lost one of my shoes and hotel management offered no sympathy nor solutions to my situation. instead they simply blamed the dogs and me for leaving the shoes by the door. I planned on wearing my shoes for the expeditions that I’d booked. I resorted to renting shoes for each expedition.
overpriced, food can use work, the remote location, the one plug, etc. all the negative things mentioned before about this property are all so so true.
overall the place needs investment.

The site is absolutely beautiful. View is breathtaking. Staff was wonderful, special thanks to Tata, Nice and LDG (spelled as it's heard, sorry about that!).
Great food at the restaurant. Would recommend anytime. There is no electricity except between 18h and 5am and 10 am to 12h, but it's easy to live with that honestly. The only thing is it gets a little hot around 6am in the room cause the AC stops. Still a very comfy and clean room though!
It's hard to find the resort when you get here because it's far from the road and you can only get there by golf cart. We didn't have a local sim and there is no wifi around the meeting point they give for pickup (McDonald's) so it was impossible to contact them. A kind security guy at vanilla beach helped us and called them for us. But was a little stressful...
Also, it's a bit far from everything and it comes with pros and cons. Site is perfect because of that, but after 10pm they close the gate on the way here so you can't get a shuttle and have to walk on the beach to go back. It's 20mins and not that bad, but when the tide is high it's a bit tricky. Didn't find it thaaat bad, but I think it's important to let people know cause it can be hard for some people.

Exclusive beach and amazing scenery of the El Nido Rock formation.
We came with our own car. There was no indication on how to get into the resort. The final stretch of the road was a bit tricky especially after heavy rains.

The beach was beautiful and the local staff were lovely.
So far away, really dark in the room, only one electrical outlet, shower was cold, very thin mattress, breakfast not great. Not worth the money.

We stayed at Dolarog Beach Resort a few weeks ago. In general the beach is very private & beautiful - we had a great time playing in the sand and swimming in the sea with our toddler.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - apart from the waiter which tries very hard, but is completely incompetent/never got proper training…
We were looking forward to swimming in the saltwater pool, unfortunately it’s in very bad shape with a lot of algue.
Driving to the resort with your own car (we rented a Toyota) was a complete nightmare - we were lucky that it didn’t rain to heavily during our stay. The roads are extremely steep and only half way paved “because the other property owner doesn’t want to invest” (but why should he if it’s only beneficial for the resort). They provide a (paid!) shuttle in some sort of golf vehicle, but that’s definitely not convenient to sit in there for 20min for an unwanted jungle tour twice a day and definitely not fair to charge for it. They also charge 90 Pesos for ONE piece of bread if you want to complement their (delicious but) tiny breakfast… On top their pricing policy is extremely intransparent - on top of what they indicate in booking.com they charge +15% (or similar) for taxes or something like this. It’s also not possible to transfer the money via booking.com and if you want to pay there with credit card they charge another ridiculous fee… Luckily my husband is half Philippino and was able to transfer via his local bank account, but that’s surely not the case for many tourists.
The resort garden is beautiful and very natural, but we heard/saw coconuts dropping several times - a real safety issue as there are palmtrees everywhere…

recommended for those seeking a secluded and calm ambiance.
the kind, soft spoken, and informative driver cum guide, Mr Toto and the waiter’s, Mr Derek El Nido insights
pricy for an offgrid and unkept amenities / garden.
beachfront nothing like for snorkeling.
mosquitos abound.

The bungalows & pool area are lovely, staff is very friendly, helpful & punctual
The food at the restaurant is not good, which is disappointing as the hotel is quite secluded from the town hence no other options close by.
Extra charge for shuttle past 5 pm.
No hot water - or at least it didn't work for us

The location and the trip to DOLAROG is beautiful. The staff are very sweet. The view is magnificent. BUT
I feel very sad writing this review because I feel sorry for the staff who you could see felt uncomfortable about the state of the place. We felt completely cheated by this booking. The owners are getting away with sub standard service because one can only book through booking.com and once there you are at the property you are trapped because you cannot phone any taxis to fetch you. You are at the mercy of the resort to take you back to the main road to find a way getting back to town. We asked for airport transfer which we didn't get. We asked for twin beds but got one bed so I had to share a bed with my son. We left after one very uncomfortable night filled with Moscuitoes and an aircon and fan that sounded like a jet engine. Moscuitoes are part of nature but in a jungle environment in a resort that charges a lot of money one would at least expect a moscuito net. After explaining why we were would prefer not to stay we were made to pay for three nights because we booked. The only way we could leave the property was to pay for the extra night and wait a very long time for a very grumpy owner to get back to the resort so he could Gholf cart us off the resort to the main road where we were made to find a way to get to another place to sleep.

The location right at the beach is nice. That's about it. Some of the waiting staff were nice. Food was ok but, like everything else here, totally overpriced for what you get
We didn‘t realize that all those good reviews dated prior 2020.
Considering ourselves "low maintenance & low expectations" travellers, we booked the "garden room". For 5200P (100€) a night, which is a massive price for this area. For this you‘d expect that at least minimum standards of hospitality are met. We don't need luxury, just a working shower, toilet and a bed you can sleep in. But we were wrong. In other places you'd get a suite for this price - here you get a worn down shed.
First room, lights were not working, toilet was not working and then the shower broke. We got the neighbour room. Felt like being put in the dog barn with a mattress that makes you prefer to sleep on the floor. Toilets still not really working, same for the shower.
We had to complain again (and we hate doing this) and got told it was our fault, had we booked the "cheapest" room. Complaints were handled via the kind waiting staff, for which we felt so bad. She was sent back & forth by her manager sitting in a room nearby not speaking us directly. After asking the 3rd time, she finally got out her hiding. Her very nasty answer was that we were just trying to get a free upgrade. No. We just wanted to be treated as guests and to have a strict minimum of comfort, especially looking at the charged price. As she did not want to help us, we proposed to leave the place taking back the money ONLY for the remaining nights and even paying the booking fees for the full stay. We had to pay cash upon arrival (which should have already made us feel suspicious). She didn't want to give us anything back ("You have to check with booking" Haha - without internet and having paid cash to you, what a joke) nor help us - so we were forced to stay. We went and took a mattress out of another room ourselves, to at least be able to sleep a bit.

We loved the location of the properly being right on the sea front. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but we feel there needed to be more of a choice for lunch and dinner.
It needs to have hot water available for people to shower with.

The view, and relaxing environment , plus it's really quiet.
Food is limited, but it's delicious
The staff order process needs to improve, we were consistently following up with our order to be able to have it

The location is right at the beach stretching for 100s of meteres. The location is very secluded but with a walking distance [1000m] to Vanila Beach. Houses are very comfortable (no fridge due to power being limited to 2hours a day and between 6pm and 6am)But you really don't need power in such a stunning place.
Nothing

I love love the resort. Staff were so friendly. Food was AMAZING!!! My girlfriend grew up in the Philippines, and she says it's one of the best filipino food she's ever had. Resort was quiet and beautiful. It's a perfect place for families and couples. It was the best place to stay to experience Palawan. :D
Cleanliness of the rooms can be improved. I had many insect bites all over my body and it was not mosquito bites, my girlfriend had a few. Not 100% sure, but it may have been bed bugs?

We like the service of going out
Food should have at least unique dish
