Exceptional — a breath of paradise in the middle of Kathmandu.
If you are looking for a boutique hotel filled with handcrafted local art and genuine Nepali character, this is your pick.
I don’t say this lightly: this boutique hotel is everything you could wish for. The hospitality is exceptionally professional, yet warm and personal. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly helpful, kind and attentive.
The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and beautifully designed. Breakfast offers a great range of options, with fresh, healthy and nutritious ingredients. There is even a small but very functional gym — perfect for getting in a good workout while on holiday.
And the cherry on top: much of the hotel and room décor is locally handcrafted, and many of the pieces can actually be purchased from the hotel shop.
We had another hotel booked for the second part of our trip to Nepal, but we loved Nepali Ghar so much that we cancelled it and came back here instead.
That probably says it all. We will definitely be back!

Great little hotel on the edge of Thamel. Its quiet, I've not heard street noise in all the times i have stayed there. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is good (not exceptional) and they have a bar/restaurant on site.

It right in the center of Thamel so perfect to walk around .
Breakfast was a la carte and not the greatest choice ..disappointed with it specially for the price paid for it .
