The hotel is in the centre of Metzingen, close to shops and cafés, with reserved car-parking available in the nearby parking garage. It is beautifully designed, and the plywood-lined bedroom was a particular treat. The room and bed were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a problem in the morning with breakfast as the person who was supposed to arrange this had not turned up. However, when another member of staff arrived she was most apologetic, got everything ready and gave me the breakfast for free because I had had to wait.
As is standard with German hotels there is no air conditioning, so bring a fan in the summer. There are coffee-making facilities in the room, but this is charged at €1.50 for a cup of coffee – I think that this could really be free.

Around the corner of outlet city. Easy parking facilities and comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and let us use their freezer for our cooling elements.

The location is great and the place is beautiful.
For a hotel of this standard, there were several imperfections in the room that, in my opinion, should not exist. On the day of departure, even though check-out is no later than 11:00 a.m., a housekeeper entered my room at 8:42 a.m. without knocking beforehand.
The same thing happened again at 10:20 a.m. with the staff collecting water bottles.
I find this very disturbing. If there is no coordination with the reception to confirm whether the check-out has been completed, it is basic courtesy to knock on the door to ensure that no one is still in the room.
