Excellent - would recommend.

Location was perfect, right in the middle of Montepulciano. Gianluca is an incredibly helpful host, with great recommendations for food, drinks, and activities. Room was comfortable, and very clean. I couldn't recommend La Rughetta more.

Not related to the property, but to Montepulciano in general - taxis are hard to find. Better to get the train to Chiusi rather than Montepulciano, as there are more transport options there.

This was a great place to stay! The hosts were friendly and very helpful. They were always available when we had questions. The coffee provided free in the room was excellent. The room was spacious. We felt very comfortable there. Thanks!

Nothing!

Very disappointed! I reserved an apartment at Rughetta Guest House. When we arrived Ludovico told us that the apartment is occupied by someone else! He gave us a small and ugly room of about 9 square meters in his apartment, which is next to Rughetta Guest House.

Spacious and comfortable

The room was very spacious, well-equipped, and generally clean (the cleanest we stayed at during our trip, but still not perfect). The location was convenient in terms of being in the historical center, but tough to bring luggage to from the free parking down the steep hill.

While we were glad to have a washing machine and clothes rack, the machine needs to be thoroughly cleaned with bleach.

great place to stay within the old part of Montepulciano near the main gate - would totally recommend it! Easy check-in, very accommodating host who provided us with a lot of recommendations what to do around and where to leave our car for free

First class apartment in a great setting

lovely apartment in a good location with everything we needed, all of high quality

Only slight gripe is that parking is around 400m away and the whole area is hilly, however the owner took our suitcases in his car which was really helpful indeed

perfect location

perfect location in Montepulcino and the host was extremely helpful, answered questions very quickly and happy to help with anything.

it would have been good to know that there was building works going on. when we arrived there was scaffolding everywhere and the next door building works woke us up early banging each day. it is also very close to a church bell which rings on the hour and half past, nice in one way but also not so much for a light sleeper. generally speaking it is a noisy place but that’s to be expected with the location and the age of the building

Excellent!

Perfect location, close to restaurants and food shops. Room is clean. Silent place no noise at night. AC and china teacups in the room :). The most helpful host I met in Italy (thank you Gianlucca) who speaks english!

Wonderful stay in Tosczny

The place was great, clean and comfortable for two people. Staying inside the city walls is great for tourists, everything you need is right here. Host helped us to park a car for no charges, helped us to bring our luggage, gave us great recommendations for dining options. We had a great time in Montepulchiano. .

Very dark apartment that did not match pictures, but very good location.

Deceptive description and pictures which made it look like there are two large beds in two separate bedrooms….not the case.

If you want to feel Toscany - Montepulciano is one of the best places.

We really loved home like feeling inside the rooms. The location is great few seconds from the centre but in really quiet area. Owners were so helpful and friendly. The city and area around is soo great - so perfect place.

Nice appartement in the centre of the old city.

Nice appartement in the centre of the old city. Air conditioner, TV, Microwave, Washmachine, Hairdryer, Dishwasher, fully equipped. Sights, shops, restaurans very close. Friendly host, speaking english.

Wifi reception was not the best in the building. Room doors are squeaky and not really soundproof so if somebody visits the bathroom during the night everybody hears it but that was not a big issue.

Comfortable sleep - Great location

The guest house is located in an amazing location. The owner happily allowed us to check in slightly early. The room itself is very modern and has plenty of useful facilities; including a fridge, coffee maker, cups/glasses ect. The bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning worked flawlessly. We hope to return again.

Good host, good city, challenging navigation

Very cute room with great personal touches. The bathroom was gorgeous, and the town is adorable! Ludovico was very nice and very responsive.

We had a great deal of difficulty finding the location and thankfully Ludovico was willing to drive his car to meet us or we would never have figured it out. It was so difficult that we did not do an excursion as anticipated due to the difficulty we had finding the place when we arrived and not having any idea how to navigate back to our car. The space was much smaller than expected based on the photos provided and was challenging at times with 3 adults.

Very good

Great location inside the old town of Montepulciano right next to the main cluster of shops and restaurants in the lower part of the town. Our room was lovely with a traditional rustic look and quiet spacious. Good shower, comfy bed and coffee machine.

Unfortunately we had trouble sleeping because the wall were very thin. While the street outside was quiet we could hear quiet a bit of noise from neighbours inside the building.

Great location and very clean room especially the bathroom and shower which looked new. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Initially had a problem with the shower drains but after I reported it, the owner came straight away to fix it which was great as well.
