Great surroundings, lovely hot tub, property is airey and light and well equipped. House martins nesting in the eaves of the house brings nature right to you. If you are looking for a quiet, away from it all location, this is it.
It's a bit of a drive to any restaurants or pubs so a car is pretty much essential.

The property was clean which is something that’s very important to us, it was in a beautiful setting and the decor was nice. It seems bigger than in the photos when you first walk in which was a nice surprise. We loved the friendly farm cat that made an appearance now and then and enjoyed the hot tub!

Lovely property, we had a great time, the living room and kitchen area are really really smart. Bedrooms spacious, bed very comfortable. Will definitely book again.

We had an amazing time at hill side barn! It’s a really beautiful peaceful location but not far by car to the nearest town and not far too all the attractions the Lake District has to offer!! The beds were the comfiest I have ever slept on in a holiday home and I suffer with a bad back which always gets worse when I go away!! But not this time!!! Everything in this barn was of top quality and you could really tell!! The hot tub was also just what we all needed at the end and beginning of a busy day!! The barn was fully equipped with everything we needed from kitchen wear s to dvd s and board games!! I also needed some help with the telly and the host came out straight away and sorted it out! I would def recommend hill top barn and we hope to return soon!
The only thing we had an issue with was the bathroom door!! It needs plaining and rehanging!!! Every time someone went to the bathroom it made a horrendous scraping noise on the tiled floor which I could ignore during the day but not at night!! It repeatedly woke everyone up!! I am not writing this as a complaint ,more so you know, so you can fix it for other guests in the future!
