The owners was the kind and welcoming. He helped us resolve a lost luggage issue with Air France. Maison is so comfortable. Loved the breakfast and location. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay at Camelia! Laurent went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. He is so kind and had a beautiful breakfast spread for us each morning. He offered recommendations on things to do and took care to make sure we had water and snacks in our room. We were there during the beginning of the heatwave in Europe and made sure we had a fan in our room and gave us a cooling sleeve to keep our water bottle cold during the day while we were out. Our room was so beautiful and clean and had views of the Cathedral down the street. Laurent's place is so cozy and inviting and we miss it already! He truly made our time in Bayeux extra special and we hope to return one day!
If you have mobility issues, there is no way to get to the rooms as the home only has a spiral stair case. We found this to be lovely but it might be a deal breaker for those who have difficulty with stairs.

The breakfast was a true French experience and the service outstanding! The location was a few blocks from the new tapestry museum and a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame Bayeux.
The steps were pretty narrow but it is an older house.
