Great position right near the jetty with views over Long Beach. Comfortable rooms and facilities - nice buffet breakfast and dinner. Wide selection of lunch options. Pool
Is nice and the terrace overlooking the beach - be quick as often all the beds can be taken but the hotel sensibly manage the usage and will remove towels and belongings left to “reserve” beds for too long.
There was a problem with our AC but the hotel kindly moved us to another room swiftly. Some may find the no alcohol a problem but there are many beach bars that sell cans of beer or cocktails if you do want a drink.

The staff was incredibly kind, helpful and always available. Whenever we had an issue, they did their best to accommodate us and find a solution. The location is also excellent, as the hotel is located on Long Beach, close to the main restaurants. The rooms are also quite spacious and comfortable for two people
The bed sheets were stained and did not seem properly clean. We asked several times for them to be changed, but the replacement sheets still had stains. The breakfast offers an international selection, but the quality and variety could definitely be improved. Overall, we felt that the price was too high for the service provided. Mimpi is one of the better and more expensive properties in the Perhentian Islands, so considering the higher price compared to other facilities, we expected a higher standard of service and overall experience. This property has the potential to be a true paradise, but it would need a little more care and attention to detail to live up to its full potential.

The location was great right next to the jetty. The staff were friendly. Room was comfortable. Free daily mini fridge. There is alot of litter and plastic on the island so it was great seeing a cleanup effort from the hotel on the hillside.
The bathroom and shower felt dirty. It was cleaned daily but the shower had some milddew in. Top shower didn't work properly.
Breakfast was expensive relative to other restaurants on the island.
Overall I would have been more critical. However, given the lack of options on the island and overall quality of other accommodation I think the hotel was reasonable.
It could do with more maintenance and better cleanliness in the bathroom.
I also noticed people commenting on the sewer pool. I also smelt this when I walked into the hotel but later realized it was not the pool at all. There is either a sewage treatment facility nearby or a sewage problem on the island. I think for overall comfort it would be great if this issue was addressed at the island level.
