About this cottage rental
Situated in Saint Simons Island, this attractive cottage for $129 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The cottage is a super unique, luxurious one bedroom, one bath space. Sleeps four with queen bed in bedroom and a queen pullout couch with memory foam mattress. Always immaculately clean, it is in a great location on quiet residential dead end street with duck and fish pond at end of street about 100 yards away. Enjoy strolling down to the duck pond to feed the ducks, fish or many turtles. The property has lots of large majestic Georgia oak trees and palm trees on the property and street. The location of this cottage is ideal being 2 1/2 miles from the public beach and pier / light house. Also, very close to Harris Teeter, Island Cinema movie theater, great restaurant and shopping. Located above our detached two car garage, the Cottage is approx. 850 sq feet including a full kitchen with microwave, stove, full refrig, dishwasher, keureg one cup coffee maker or a regular drip coffee maker. Comes with free wireless internet that is super fast at 90 megabytes per second. Download or stream movies quickly with no problems. Washer and dryer available so you can do laundry on site. Use the outdoor shower to wash off from a day at the beach and private stone patio for outdoor relaxing. Cathedral ceiling with wood beams make this cottage exceptionally coastal elegant through out. Hardwood floors and travertine tile exude luxury. Large main living area with flat screen TV with HD box so pictures is phenomenal. Has glass top breakfast table as well as a large dining table and custom built in corner bench seating. The master bed room is behind the yellow sliding barn door and has room for two and also has a flat screen TV and a DVD player. The bedroom is tastefully decorated in beach style. Off the master bedroom is a spacious spa bathroom. The design of the walk-in shower was taken from the Sea Island Club Spa. It has a special shower head that produces exceptional water volume and is like showering in a spa. The floor and shower are natural travertine castle stone and the shower has multiple patterns. The Kitchen is fully stocked with plates, cups, silver ware, knife block and items needed for cooking. A sampling of coffee pods are provided for your morning coffee enjoyment. Coffee can be enjoyed inside or outside on the spacious deck or below on the private patio. You'll feel like you are in the tree tops with the good high views. Across the street is Harris Teeter, a large grocery store. We will gladly provide you with restaurant recommendations, directions and island activities that only locals know about. We are confident that you will be pleased with your stay in our five star island cottage and we think it sometimes is the small details that make the biggest difference. Like a 5 port USB phone/ pad/ laptop charging tower provided so you can charge all your "things" without struggling to plug cords in behind end table or bedside tables. We have tried to think of everything to impress. Our goal is for you to want to stay with us every time you visit Saint Simon's Island. While our listings do say pets considered we cannot accommodate dogs over 15 lbs due to the desire to keep our properties the highest quality available. NOTE: All dogs must be pre approved. if you bring a dog that has not been approved you will be asked to leave the property. Also, if you plan on bringing anything that you have to tow behind your car or truck you must first get it approved. There are no bikes provided with the cottage but we have established a relationship with Island Bikes and for our guests they will deliver and pick up the bikes. If our cottage is booked for your dates, never fear, we have three other luxury rental properties (property 4653229 and 4757544) Our goal is to provide a unique experience with the highest level of luxury at the lowest price. Nestled atop the preimary residence's detached garage, the cottage offers stylish and roomy quarters conveniently located behind the Island Harris Teeter. Location provides easy access to downtown St. Simmons, Brunswick, and Jekylls Island. Guests enjoy private access and a quiet environment to recharge in after a day of site seeing and/or catching up on work. I would definitely recommend this vrbo and look forward to returning on during a future visit.

We came into town for visit friends and attend a festival. This little cottage was a perfect place to stay for my husband and me. It's adorable, clean and quiet. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a fun time after losing our belongings in a house fire we came with the bare minimum and shortly realized that all that was just stuff. We can rebuild our lives but the family time was important. I wish it wasn’t so short. It was definitely hot and we would come back a different time of year!

This was a great spot for a beach vacation, with one caveat that I'll address below. Really great decorations, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We did have a pretty major issue with the internet. One of the reasons we chose this spot was because the description included high-speed internet, however, we did not have consistent internet for our entire stay. Vacations shouldn't be all about access to the internet, so we did in fact have a great stay, but we were not able to stream movies at night and I had to find a coffee shop several days to take care of some work issues that required internet access. The owners were responsive, tried but were unsuccessful in getting the issue fixed, and to their credit offered a full refund if we chose to stay elsewhere -- though by that time we were unpacked and it wasn't realistic to find another place. I noticed that several other reviews mentioned problems with the internet, so I think it's likely a lingering issue. All that being said, the space was great for getting to the beach and accessing all of the island's restaurants and attractions. We enjoyed our stay!

Excellent place to be on St Simmons if you want to stay away from the crowd but far from the beach. Reached out to the property manager a couple of times via phone, got VM and no call back :( Internet was very slow at times so not ideal if you are planning to work. Everything else was great.

The property was just ok. It wasn’t amazing, it wasn’t awful. Checkin was east. The outside needs power washing and landscape help. The outdoor furniture was so dirty we used a beach towel to sit in a chair. The actual cottage was accurately described, and decorated with a fun beach vibe, but lacked in cleanliness. With a family of 4, there were not enough bathroom towels/cloths. There were 4 towels, 4 wash cloths, 4 hand towels. Having a couple extra for families of 4 would be nice. I don’t want to wash my face with a wash cloth I washed my body with, personally. A sign in the bathroom said please help keep our towels white and bright use the dark towels to remove make up. Which I would have done had there actually been dark washcloths and towels provided. While all the main surfaces of the cottage (counters, table, coffee table, sinks) appeared to be clean there was months of dust build up on the light fixtures, door moulding, baseboards etc. cobwebs growing on cobwebs. The white couch is far from white and if you go to use the pull out sofa like we did you’ll find mashed food stuck on the inside on the sofa where the cushions are. All the fabric furniture cushions etc. could stand to be replaced or reupholstered. There were no sheets for the pull out sofa (not comfortable for teens) and while we got a quick reply from the hosts about it, we were told to go down into the garage (at 9:45pm) and look through bins to find some. The garage is not easy to find much in at all. My husband came up from the garage with 3 fitted sheets, no flat sheet, no blanket. We’ve stayed in a lot of places through these type of rentals and have never had to scrounge around someone else’s garage for something that should have been provided when advertising room for 4 people to sleep. Pillows need to be replaced on bed. Not enough silverware, hodge podge of dishes, have to hand wash silverware and glasses if you eat more than 1 meal a day. Bed was ok. Wi-Fi was bad, we tried to watch a show on bedroom TV, a 35 minute episode took over an hour because the Wi-Fi kept going out. The neighbor’s dog will be your 7am alarm and you will have to start the dishwasher, take out your trash, strip down the beds and pile the towels before you leave. Cleaning fee is small because you do half the work. It wasn’t as personal as other trips. Would have been nice to know the main house would have guests our last night too as parking got tricky maneuvering around the other cars.

The Cottage was such a pleasant place to stay. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The decor was cute and cheerful. It almost felt like being in a tree house; looking out the windows at the huge live oaks. We enjoyed our stay tremendously from drinking coffee on the deck, to walking around the neighborhood. We will be back.

Our weekend on St. Simons was lovely. The property was exactly as advertised. The rooms and linens were spotless. There was convenient parking. The owners left a list of local restaurants which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back again!

This cottage served as a perfect basecamp for our adventures around St. Simons Island, Brunswick, and Jekyll Island. It's a great size for two people, has ample parking, and is convenient for traveling north to Fort Frederica, south to the Pier, or west to Brunswick and beyond. With all the amenities one might need, this is a great option on SSI.

The entire renting process of this cottage was so easy and the price is right!! As soon as we arrived to the cottage we noticed how clean and comforting the environment was. The hosts sent us lists of Things to Do and some of their favorite On AND Off island Eats and it was SO helpful! We have already began planning our next trip to come back to this beautiful island and cottage! If you are thinking about renting out this cottage, don’t hesitate, this has easily been our favorite place we have ever stayed!! We can’t wait to come back!

The cottage was very inviting and comfortable. Loved the decor and how it was styled. I'm an interior decorator so I can appreciate all of the beautiful touches throughout the cottage. We were a little disappointed when we arrived because the outside of the property was a mess. Lots of weeds, tired paint, dirty. We didn't feel like we could sit outside on the porch or the ground level chairs because it was not well kept. First impressions are important. We would suggest a better mattress for the bedroom. Wen we vacation to getaway, a high end and comfortable mattress is a must! The mattress was like an after thought an not comfortable at all. But overall, the cottage was quiet and relaxing. There was construction going on next door and we could not hear it inside the cottage which was great. The neighborhood was pleasant and the residents were very friendly. And our host were very kind and helpful.

Tom & Amy's cottage is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway! We celebrated our 15-year anniversary and wanted to explore the Golden Isles and were pleasantly surprised by this tree-house-like cottage. This property is perfect with being nestled in a quiet neighborhood and close to shopping while being only 10 minutes from the pier!

This is the best rental property we’ve ever stayed at. The pictures and description were accurate, the cottage was very clean, couches and bed were comfortable. We loved the ample outdoor space and outdoor seating especially. Tons of beach stuff to use in the garage which was super convenient. We texted the hosts a couple times and they were responsive, helpful and polite. The location is a quick drive to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent here again if we were to return to SSI.
