Beautiful apartment and great location, but unfortunately let down by cleanliness and maintenance issues.

The apartment itself was beautiful, spacious and in a great location, and had it not been for the issues we encountered, this could have been an exceptional stay.

The apartment itself was beautiful, spacious and Unfortunately, when we arrived there was a very strong musty/mouldy smell in the main bathroom. We later discovered extensive mould-like spotting covering the toilet seat and the underside of the lid. We weren’t comfortable using this entire bathroom and toilet and reported it, along with photos. We were contacted the following morning at around 10:30am, with someone attending closer to 1pm, so this bathroom was effectively unusable for our first night and most of the next day. I had specifically booked the unit because of the spa bath. Thankfully, the apartment had a second toilet and shower. We also had an issue with the shower door not staying properly closed, once we were able to use it. Water escaped from the shower and spread into the tiled toilet area, leaving the floor extremely wet and slippery. We ended up having to shower with the water pressure turned right down to try to prevent this from happening. We were also disappointed with the spa bath. When it was filled, we noticed a brown, gelatinous piece of material in the bath, and further residue came from the spa system when the jets were operated. Given the other cleanliness issues in the bathroom, we didn’t feel comfortable using the spa after this. Finally, some of the complimentary pantry/breakfast items also needed attention. We found products that were past their best-before dates, and the opened Vegemite jar, while not out of date, was in a condition that certainly didn’t make us want to use it. It’s a shame because there was a lot to like about the apartment. The location was excellent and the property itself had the potential to be a fantastic stay. However, given the amount we paid for two nights, we expected a considerably higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance and attention to detail. These issues unfortunately had a significant impact on our stay.

Location wasn’t good unfortunately the air conditioning was not working and they didn’t even try to fix it, plus the hot water didn’t work very well and I had no hot water on the morning I was checking out, the office to return the keys wasn’t open and I had to push the keys through a gap

No air conditioning, no hot water and the bed was very hard
