Located in Holmes Beach, this attractive cottage for $210 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Gertie's Beach House East is a vibrant, well maintained and equipped island duplex. Just steps from the white sands and turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Relax by the nice pool, dine on your private fenced in patio or just enjoy Anna Maria Island. Take a short stroll to the beach and enjoy picturesque sunsets, unwind at the several restaurants, or browse the shops and stores all within a short walk. One bedroom, one bath (tub-shower) and kitchen, breakfast area, living room, cable, wireless internet access, charcoal grill and a comfortable king size bed await you. Also for infants a pack and play is provided. The living room has a pull out couch with additional sleeping for 2. Take it easy, hang loose, and soak up the sun here at your tropical oasis Gertie's East. Free Wifi, linens, towels, etc. and beach equipment provided. As of April 2024 it will be a shared pool. Space for an RV or boat trailer. Accommodates up to 4 people. Minimum Stay Required: 1 Week. Max. parking: 1; VRC #16-000237 You are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property. * Cancellation more than 90 days prior to arrival will receive a deposit refund less a $250 cancellation fee. Cancellation less than 90 days prior to arrival will forfeit all deposit received. Cancellation less than 60 days prior to arrival will forfeit all monies on account. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

Terrific as usual, I believe it our third year staying @ Girties. The place is as pretty as it looks and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Conveniently located 2 very short blocks stroll to the beach !! Also clean and comfortable.

We left this house 2 hours after we checked in and never returned. There was a very musty smell and feared there may be mold issues in this house. The top of the fans were black with dirt and there was masking tape around the bottom of the bathroom vanity. This should not be rented. VRBO refused to reimburse my payment and told me I had to go to the property management. My wife got asthma symptoms and felt so sick we had to leave immediately. I have it received any reimbursement for my 2 hour stay even though I called and informed VRBO that I had left early and they immediately make it available again even though I paid for 12 days. This was the first time I have used VRBO and expected more consideration. We did not have a good experience and I do not plan to use VRBO again.

Location is great. Super close to the beach. Termites covered the bathroom every night. Rotting wood trim and a horrible trash stench by the pool. Hot water only lasts 3 minutes in the shower (we timed it). Just needs a lot of updates and maintenance.

To The Owner of The Property: The cottage fits our needs for our time on the island. Third trip there but never your home. We felt that the "start up kit" of 2 dishwasher tabs, 2 rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels was not acceptable and comopared to years of renting on airbnb, vrbo, this was really showing a cheap side to your guests especially given the overall cost to rent. Having cracks on the toilet seat was unexceptable and such an easy inexpensive improvement, kitchen sink fixture needed tightning, couch needs to be cleaned or replaced, walls needs some fresh paint. All these things would freshen up that adorable place. Even your landscaping people were commenting about you not having an irrigation to help the plants. Time to spend a little money and spruce things up and change some things up. These comments are for owner's ears only and not put on the reviews. With a little money and some changes, we would come again due to private pool, old Florida feel and of course the beauty of Anna Maria Island is wonderful. You have a gem owning property there and very lucky.

Gertie East is in a wonderful position, q one block from beach, one block to shops etc.The pool is an added bonus, you have it yourself as the other half of the unit is used by the owners on an occasional basis, so it’s quiet.Although a little dated the overall furnishings are what you would expect for a rental of this trap, comfortable, great TV for those wet days.Florida dreams wh manage the unit were e helpful when required, answered any questions. Managed to get the unit ready form occupancy only one week after hurricane Ian.There was no telephone in the property which would have been useful -reservations etc.

Amazing Vacation Getaway
We absolutely loved Gerties. The description and reviews were so accurate. The proximity to the beach was perfect, especially since we had a cart. An additional wagon would be great, but the cart was a huge plus. We never had duplex neighbors so the pool was all ours for the entire week. Only two complaints: we had to buy a pot to cook with - there was only a sauce pan. We left the pot we bought, but it highlights the lack of cooking utensils. They could be freshened up and replenished. And the beds were not up to what they should be. The king bed was "ok;" we tried the pull out couch since the king was ify, the couch bed really, really needs to be replaced. Other than those two things, it was an amazing, amazing spot to relax and just unwind. (Oh, the outdoor furniture on the patio and pool deck both need cleaning and refreshing. The table by the pool is so rusted we didn't want to even lay our towels on it.) Sorry for the complaints, we truly loved our stay. Just a couple of refreshes and this would be 100% perfect. We will, without a doubt, be returning. Thank you for an amazing vacation!!

Great location, very quick walk to the beach. Pool was kinda small, more like a wading pool, couldn't really swim in it, if you're thinking of doing laps like me anyway. Owners were quick to get get back with me as far as any questions I had. Place was clean and quiet! Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Overall nice place to stay. We enjoyed the patio and pool area. Close to beach. Unclear as if the pool was private or shared. We did not have neighbors so it was perfect. Place a little beat up on first impression on the outside otherwise it was great. I would have to confirm that the other cottage would be empty if we would stay there again. Flagstones to the pool area would be nice. A little table to put drinks down so the gate can be opened also would be nice. And a patio umbrella

We stayed at Gerties the last week of January. The place was clean when we arrived. We had a good time in Anna Maria, in spite of the colder weather. The good - the location. The bad - the couch and chair were old, uncomfortable and clearly in need of replacement. There is no washer / dryer, however we were given only 3 bath towels. Called for more, someone dropped off another set of sheets, no towels and no call back.

Upon arriving to Gerties I was excited to stay at a beach cottage and not a condo. I have to say the inside was as described and perfect for two people. You have to keep in mind it isn't a five star hotel, it has a very laid back feel to it and once inside my husband and I felt at home and comfortable. We have stayed at several resorts and rental houses on the island and this by far was the most convenient and comfortable. It is bright and airy, well decorated and private. The pool, which is on the side of the owner's unit was available only to us, which was great. There were plenty of chairs to host company after a long day at the beach or just relaxing and floating before heading out for the day. The kitchen was well equipped, although this trip we only prepared one meal. The bathroom is small, but again, light and airy. The staff was great, we took the opportunity to visit the office and introduce ourselves personally. We had family vacationing across the street and their complaint were the stairs. We would park out front or to the side and walk right in, no stairs to drag our beach stuff in and out everyday. I look very forward to returning to Gertie's in the future. If you have an interest in renting this cute beach cottage, you will not be disappointed. The Monkey Bus pick up was right outside our door. The trolley a few streets away, the beach was so walkable and the area was nice.

My husband and daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Getie’s on Holmes Beach to the max. We came without our daughter last year and through pictures she chose this place instead of Disney world. She’s 8! We were so comfy on our beach house and cooked such wonderful meals and spent lots of time between the beach and the pool. We slept wonderfully each night. We plan to come back next year!

Cute duplex in a great location on Holmes Beach in Anna Maria Island
Great location. Walking distance to the beach. Very close to Publix and also Walgreens and Dollar Store and much more. My husband and I really enjoyed Gerties and the privacy and the private pool. I hope to return soon.
