About this condo rental
Situated in Holmes Beach, this charming condo for $209 per night is a great option for your next trip. Sale! 15% Discount for November & December dates. A new invoice will be sent showing the 15% Discount. Does not include Holiday dates. THE Marlin is a triplex building. Unit 202 has one bedroom, one bath with a king bed and a futon sleeper sofa. Unit 204 (VRBO #331207) is a two bedroom one bath unit with a queen bed, two twins and a queen sleeper sofa. Unit 206 (VRBO # 1128353) is a two bedroom one bath unit with a queen bed, two twins and one queen sleeper sofa. Rent all three at the same time and receive a ten percent discount! Perfect for weddings, family reunions or gatherings. This property is zoned as a seven day rental. If you do need less than 7 days; please ask; we will see if we can block the remainder of the seven days for you. The building has a large parking area that can accommodate a boat and trailer and both public boat ramps are no more than a 2 minute drive away. We are located just one block behind the grocery store, shopping and dining. The public beach is less than a block away. You can't beat the location! There is also an outdoor kitchen with a charcoal grill, sink and refrigerator and an outdoor sitting area with tables and chairs. The Marlin is located at the corner at 36th Street and 4th Avenue and because it is not a through way and because there is no public parking, the street is hardly traveled and perfect for children. Our pool is 31'X19'. It has a shallow end with a bench around the perimeter for sitting. The deep end is a large circle perfect for swimming and there is a 'beach' shelf which mimics sitting at the edge of the shore line. Inside the beach when unoccupied is a fountain and when occupied is a jet that created bubble rings. The pool has a four color light system which can be solid or multicolor and illuminates the pool for night enjoyment. Also, there is a HUGE deck around the pool with lounge chairs and tables. Arriving late & don't have time to shop? Would you like your beverages to already be nice and cold for you when you arrive? We can have all of this ready when you arrive. Our fee is $25 plus 10% cost of the groceries. Do you need bicycles, baby items, beach items, a golf cart? The property manager is very attentive. This property has 3 units that share a nice pool. The decor is very beachy and bright. Just as the description states, it truly is steps from the beach. Publix is very close as are many places within walking distance. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our time while staying here. The unit was clean and well-appointed for our week long stay. The outdoor pool area was relaxing and provided a lot of fun for our little ones. Being only a block from the beach was great, especially as no busy roads were needed to be crossed. We would gladly stay here again.

If you’re looking for a budget friendly house in a superb location, this is it! Minimal guests share the pool so most nights it was just my family using it. My family loved the proximity to the beach entrance and it was just far enough down from the public beach parking so as not to be crowded. Really close to grocery store and souvenir shop (walking distance), and centrally located on island between all the restaurants and entertainment. Well equipped with everything needed for a weeks stay. It checked all of our boxes which were proximity to beach, a pool, near food and entertainment and away from large condos.

Worst vacation experience ever!! Property run down and dirty. Toilet broke for 3 days. Refrigerator broke for 2 days. Pool area looked like an abandoned building. Stayed for 4 weeks and pool was not cleaned for the first 3 weeks. Pool filter system did not work for 3 weeks. On line pictures of property greatly misrepresented. Complained to VRBO and requested to be compensated for days w/o toilet and refrigerator. Property manager said no. I suggest VRBO check out properties they represent before taking them on as a client. Rate this property as a minus 10. Very unhappy with our experience.

It was ok. Only had one key for unit . Window in bedroom with twin beds was broken, host was told and nothing was done. Frig at outside grill was nasty. Unit needs a little updating. Overall it was good for the price.

Perfect getaway!
We loved our stay! Perfect family getaway, steps from the beach. Plenty of space for all of us, loved having the pool right out our door, everything we could have needed was in the kitchen. Close to shops and grocery. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed the convenient walk to Publix, CVS, plenty of souvenir shops, ice cream & Chinese one night. We ventured about 10 min south for mini golf & felt even happier at the location we had! We also visited South Florida Museum in Bradenton to see the manatee rescue, but mostly it was a beach, pool, sunshine break! Great location!!
We enjoyed our stay at The Marlin. It was super close to the beach, Publix and CVS. The place could use a few updates, but it's very clean and decorated nicely. Loved having a washer/dryer. We loved the neighbors, very friendly!!

You can walk to beach, store, and restaurant easily. The pool is nice too. I believe that this is the best value for a 2 bedroom home

Quiet Retreat
The location was very good only a short walk to the ocean. And if you wanted there was cafe on the beach within walking distance which was nice for breakfast or lunch. Although the pool was clean and very nice the weather just wasn't warm enough to swim as we were there the last week in January.
The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking there were even paper towels.coffee,and some spices that were probably left by previous vacationers. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths, and extra blankets for the beds if needed. We are thinking of renting the three bedroom next year and bringing along some friends.

Wonderful stay!
It was a wonderful stay on Anna Maria Island. The property is close to the beach and very near to the next publix. The furnishing and equipment are very lovely, the pool is great and the garden and grill area revery nice. An awesome stay for the hole family!! We like to come back.

The house was perfect, very clean and the property was well kept. The sunsets are amazing! The short walk down the quite road to the beach made it feel like you were on the beach front. The pool and grill area was huge compared to other properties. We love Anna Marie Island and will be back with the rest of the family. Thank you Cheri for the wonderful job you do.

Wonderful apartment in a fantastic location
This is the second time I've stayed at the Marlin and I can't wait to go back. The apartment is spacious, bright, and immaculate. It is exceptionally well-stocked if you plan to cook. It's attractively decorated and less than a minute's walk to the beach. I had a car but it's a short walk to a very good grocery store and a number of good restaurants. The pool area is nice although it was too cool to swim while I was there. Even at regular prices it's a bargain for what you get, but I benefitted from a special rate that made the rental a steal. Cheri, the manager, is very helpful and easy to work with. I love the Marlin. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Very clean and comfortable!!!! Beach right across the street; Publix about two blocks away! Great pool area! Awesome place!!!! The manager is very affable and quick to respond to any questions! (Our coffee pot broke the first day; replaced immediately!!!)

Me and my wife stayed at the Marlin 202 for a long weekend getaway. We had a great weekend. The house was very nice and clean. The pool area was also very nice. The beach is only 200yds away so very easy to walk back and forth to the house. Had all your beach needs with the beach towels, chairs and umbrella. You can walk to the grocery store and other stores. We also walked to breakfast on the beach in the morning which is at Manatee beach. I would defiantly come back and stay. Thank you to Chris for all your help!

So close to the beach!
I stayed at the Marlin for 5 nights in the beginning of October and had a wonderful time. I was there for a personal retreat and enjoyed that it was quiet, had all of the amenities that I needed (washer and dryer, beach chairs, pots and pans and kitchen stuff, comfortable couches and a hammock by the pool). The house is a 2 minute walk to the beach which makes it so easy to pop back and forth as needed. There is a Publix (grocery store) right around the corner and the downtown is a short drive away. The house was clean and tidy upon my arrival. I loved the little pool courtyard out back. I ate lunch outside most days and even took on the hammock one day. I will definitely check out the Marlin again if and when I am back at Anna Maria Island.

Went to the Marlin for a weekend get away, loved the location. 3 Blocks to the trolley, very close to the beach. Loved the pool choice also when we were tired of the beach.
Everything was exactly liked pictured, also early check in was the best.

A great place to relax and unwind from the hustle of everyday life
My wife, son and I just spent a great week at the Marlin staying in #206. We have previously stayed in a smaller condo closer to Cortez in the past and here we were immediately impressed by the privacy and quietness of the street and unit. There was another family that came in a few days after we got there and we really didn't notice them except in passing. This unit was furnished with everything we needed to enjoy the week to include detergent and fabric softener sheets for the washer and dryer that was in the master bedroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and bakeware. The unit was very clean with fresh bedding and numerous pillows. The tvs were all updated flat screens that had cable. After confirming payment with the owners early on they provided contact information in case we needed anything however the unit and furnishings were all in great condition. The access to the beach was an effortless short walk and we used the pool and hammock almost daily. Although we didn't use the outdoor grilling area I did go over and look it over and the inside of the grill and cooking grates were clean and ready to be used. There was also plenty of parking as our neighbors had guests over and everyone had places to park. I appreciated the ease of dealing with Cheri while renting this and our communications prior to and after the rental. As I've been coming to Anna Maria Island to vacation my entire life I'm almost hesitant to give away how impressed we were with the unit because before long I'll be looking to come back here again and I'm hoping it's available. Thanks again for sharing the unit and we'll be back.

The Marlin
Our first night/day #204 was enjoyable with close proximity to beach ,nice furnishings and swimming pool. Then, neighbors moved into #206 who were very rowdy with at least 10 people in their 2 bedroom unit.Their kids took over the pool without adult supervision.We could only use the pool when they were gone ! Owners should limit number of occupants per unit.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Marlin and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our cottage was cute, clean and comfortable. The pool was very refreshing and the cottage was very close to the beach. The location is great - close to Publix, CVS, restaurants, hardware store, etc. - yet, it was very quiet and not on a main street. I hope to stay there again next year.

The unit was great, a big thank you to Cheri and her husband. The two of you made our stay relaxing and worry free. The description and amenities listed for the rental is pretty spot on. What we loved was the little paradise the back yard was made into; fenced in, pool(kid friendly), plenty of chairs and tables, super comfortable hammock hung between palm trees, the outdoor kitchen. Inside the unit we found it to be very clean, comfortable beds and all appliances worked.
Minus a direct view of the beach, you couldn't ask for much better positioning on AMI. The beach access was about a minute walk from our front door, just one non busy street to cross. Publix grocery, CVS, Walgreens and beach shops all with-in walking distance(5 to 10 min.).
We only would have two suggestions for the owner. First, child safety locks on cabinets and second a juicer to make fresh squeezed orange juice.
Our family will do our best to stay again, hopefully we will have some friends and family to come use the other two units in the building.

Stay was great. Heated pool with all the colorful lights around created great atmosphere for evening swim. Beach is literally just across the street. There is grocery pharmacy and couple of more stores just short walk away. We also visited the Anchor pub. That one is very close as well! Units are fully equipped! Cheri is great owner!
