Nestled in Tybee Island, this attractive house for $420 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to Our Happy Place! Located on the quiet, family-friendly North end of Tybee Island, Our Happy Place is a lovely 5 bedroom 3 and a half bath home that features 2 levels of balconies with a partial bay view. The home is situated within 1 block of the nearest beach access at Byers Street. The home's main living spaces are on the third floor. The large open floor plan features the living, kitchen, and dining areas which have access to the third-floor balcony. Enjoy partial views of the bay while sipping sweet tea on the top-level balcony which includes a gas grill. The living area has a large flat-screen TV mounted over the decorative fireplace that can also be viewed from the kitchen and dining area; along with a sleeper sofa for extra bedding. Guests can enjoy cocktails overlooking the bay from the convenience of a built-in wet bar - complete with a wine cooler. Enjoy cooking and entertaining your guests in the fully equipped open concept kitchen which has a gas stove, breakfast bar, and seating for four. The dining area of the home offers a table seating 6. The home offers many wonderful amenities like hardwood floors, comfortable furnishings, and a large flat-screen TV in the living room with a Bose sound system. Also located on this level is a half bath. The second floor features a contemporary main bedroom suite with a King size bed with access to the attached wrap around balcony with a partial view of the Savannah River. The large ensuite primary bathroom has dual vanities, a whirlpool tub, and a large glass-enclosed shower with dual showerheads. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a Queen size Daybed with a Twin Trundle and a TV. This bedroom is accessible from both the hallway and has attached double doors to the primary which can be closed off. Bedroom 3, on this level, is furnished with a Queen bed. Both guest bedrooms have a flat-screen TV and offer nearby access to the second full guest bathroom in the hall. Also located on this level is the laundry room. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground level. Bedroom 4 is furnished with a Queen size bed and a TV. And Bedroom 5 has a twin bed. There is an all-new, full bathroom with a walk-in shower on the ground level. The garage area has been transformed into an entertainment area complete with a beverage fridge and a bar. There is a large flat-screen TV that has Roku for streaming. Challenge your friends to a game of Ping Pong or Darts! There is an elevator to make transporting luggage and groceries up to the third floor a breeze. Parking is available for up to 4 cars - garage parking for 2 cars and 2 additional in the driveway, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Our Happy Place is located in the North Beach area of Tybee Island. There is a beach, but no large wave action. The North Beach is considered a bay, it is where the Savannah River meets the ocean. You can watch dolphins at play, shrimp boats, and the large container ships travel to and from the Port of Savannah. The beach access point is located within 1 block, on the corner of Byers St and Bay St. It is 600 feet to the boardwalk and another 600 feet and you are on the beach. In general, a nice place to stay. Quiet, lots of space, and very close to the beach. I have stayed at a lot of vacation homes so I have certain expectations. I might make a few suggestions or make sure future guests know what to expect.
The property was clean and some furniture was very nice such as the outdoor seating and beds were comfortable. However, the towels were small and not plentiful. Only 1 kitchen towel was provided. If you plan to stay for more than a few days, you will need to wash towels or don’t shower much or cook. You will only find 1 laundry packet. So, you may want to pack or purchase laundry detergent pods. Wonderful laundry room though.
If you are hoping for a whirlpool tub…keep hoping. The property advertised a whirlpool tub in the master but the jets are not functioning. The master closet needs a fresh coat of paint and the light did not work either.
The XBox in the gaming room would turn on but the remotes would not sync. I have two iGen kids so if they couldn’t get to working…that’s saying something. We did find several camp chairs and a beach cooler that could be used for beach days. That was a nice surprise.
Kitchen had lots of dishes and several needed items for big meals. The pantry had a juicer, ice cream machine, blender, and Tupperware. The ice maker kept up with our families ice needs. A large grill was also furnished. A couple repairs were needed though. The refrigerator door ice-water dispenser was broken, the kitchen sink faucet is loosely attached, and several bar stools are missing rungs. If you need plastic wrap or aluminum foil, pack your own- none on premise.
As long as you know that property has been well used, needs some repairs, and you have to bring/purchase all consumables- you will not be surprised. In summary, this property is nice but not memorable.

Beautiful property
It must have been renovated in the past few years. Fresh paint and very clean. Can see the water but you have to go down the road a ways to get to a beach access. The elevator was very helpful since it has three levels.

Great time. Had trouble with the main TV and ran out of Propane gas (stove and oven). Management did handle the problems and also gave us coupons for breakfast at a local restaurant.

Very nice house for rent with plenty of space! We absolutely loved the balconies and views of the water! Always ones of my favorite place to go... Just wish time did not go so fast! The house was perfect in every way. Short walk to beach and the evening on the porch were just perfect!

A little disappointed! (Not about the house)
Our family rents beach houses to avoid eating out all week and spend time together. We bring groceries and have planned out meals. Two hours before check in I receive an email stating that the oven in our unit is broken. I'm told we have a "loaner" until they can fix the stove. The loaner turns out to be a toaster oven! I understand things happen unexpectedly. Our meal plans had to be severely altered. My frustration comes from the lack of attempt to compensate us for the inconvenience; even after I asked! The house is beautiful. Despite the meal problems we had a great time. Spending time with friends and family helped ease the pain.
