Located in Manistee, this charming house for $165 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Charming house overlooking Manistee Golf and Country Club with distant views of Lake Michigan from the living room window. Just a few blocks from Lake Michigan beaches, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, boat launch, river walk and downtown Manistee. Central air, high-speed wireless internet, large screen tv with roku, HBO and netflix, outdoor grill, Keurig coffee maker, washer and dryer, fire pit, large fenced backyard with a patio and a garage are just a few of the many extras that come with this vacation rental. First street beach, just a hop skip and a jump away, has two playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, a boat launch, a dog park, and picnic tables and grills. There are several restaurants and bars in the town of Manistee and a quaint historic downtown district. The little river casino is 7 miles away. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, with a full bed on the bottom and a twin on the top. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, baking dishes, pots and pans, flatware, wine glasses, and much more. There is a huge completely fenced backyard. In the backyard, enjoy croquet and cornhole. There are lounge chairs and tables and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. All linens are provided. Outdoor grill and beach toys. Bikes provided on request.

We had a great stay. There are so many positives about this property and it’s perfect for children and a dog with all the games, yard toys, several bikes and the fenced in backyard. Our dog loved it. The location was great - right across the street from the golf course and within walking distance to first street beach. We walked our dog there several times. The kitchen was very well equipped with a separate eating area with a table and chairs for eating. The only negatives we’re having to go down in the basement to do our wash as the stairs were quite steep for elderly people. The other negative was the bathroom - it’s very small and really only one person
Can comfortably fit in there at once. Plus the shower/tub situation is really difficult for anyone who is a senior as the tub itself is quite old and very high with nothing to hold onto when stepping in and out.
We wouldn’t recommend this property for any senior adults because of the bathroom & basement laundry situation, but it would be great for a young family.

This was a cozy house for me and my adult/teenage daughters with plenty to do. We went to the beach every day...shopped downtown...and took a daytrip to the Arcadia Dunes. We couldn't ask for a better getaway....we love Manistee and this house..... and will definitely be back next year!!

The golf course is directly across the street. It was nice to look out the front windows in the morning and evening and watch all the deer families walk through. Downtown is also very close. Lots of places to choose from. Just remember to check hours as everything closes earlier than normal. We will definitely come back here to stay.

We had such a wonderful time at the Cherry Street Cottage with our 3 dogs. We were able to visit many wonderful towns just an hour to two away. Including a few day trips up north. Our pups loved the fenced in yard and the golf course view was peaceful. Close to downtown and First Street Beach. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The house was easy to find, and the pictures do it justice. The house was very comfortable, feeling like home. The golf course across the street was an added benefit making the front yard feel expansive. The location was great as we walked to beach area and the river walk. The fenced in backyard was great area for our standard poodle to check out.
We recommend this property to anyone staying in the Manistee area. We will look to stay here again the next time we vacation on Manistee.

Really enjoyed the view of the golf course. Our dog absolutely loved the backyard with so much space to run around. The house was well supplied with everything we needed to feel at home. The only thing I missed was our king sized bed at home. We slept in separate rooms. The beds were very comfortable though.

We loved the Cherry Street house. It was clean and the backyard is amazing! We used the bikes to ride to the beach and loved watching deer graze on the golf course across the street. The house has everything you need for a great stay in Manistee.

We had a great time here. Really good location in a nice neighborhood setting. Close to town, walkable to a large beach area with a nice front porch looking out over the golf course across the street. Huge backyard that our dog and daughter loved playing in during the day.

Cute little house - older so rooms were small but perfect for our purposes. We needed a place we could have our dogs with us and the large fenced-in back yard was great. Best of all the neighborhood was quiet and first street beach is just down the street (including a dog beach! ). Great fit for our needs and our granddaughters loved it.

Beach family getaway
Cute little house - older so rooms were small but perfect for our purposes. We needed a place we could have our dogs with us and the large fenced-in back yard was great. Best of all the neighborhood was quiet and first street beach is just down the street (including a dog beach! ). Great fit for our needs and our granddaughters loved it.

Great beach location
We had a great stay in this cute beach house. It was perfect for 2 adults, a child, and a dog. We enjoyed coffee in the morning out front with a view of the golf course. The 1st Street Beach was perfect. It’s right at the end of Cherry Street. It allowed dogs to be off leash and the water was great for kids. The beach area is between two piers so it is shallow and doesn’t have big waves like the other beaches. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home. We didn’t go out to eat since we stayed here during Covid-19. The back yard was great. The dog enjoyed running around. There is a garden and bird feeders that different birds frequent. The fire pit was really enjoyable at night. The Lake Michigan sunsets were spectacular. The owner was easy to communicate with by text message. If we ever decide to come back to Manistee, we would stay in this house again.

Cherry St Cottage served us well for our month long stay in Michigan for fall colors. Location was central so with the exception of Upper Peninsula everything was within a day drive and back. We did make a 2 day extended excursion to the Upper Peninsula and it was outstanding! The cottage was warm and comfortable, it really needed nothing that we could not live without. Having the use of the garage was great. The fenced yard was exactly what our fur babies needed to feel right at home , they never had so much fun as when they would chase and investigate the "critters of the marsh" Our home team Astros were in the world series and we watched all the games easily on our laptop/tablet connecting to sports channel covering the game. The cottage has wifi and the ability to connect to your service but no local tv reception, I did find I missed seeing the local news easily, aside from that I must admit there was nothing it lacked. The photos are accurate and the property description is also . The beds were comfy the sheets and plenty of pillows and comforters were all much appreciated. Cherry St is quiet so no road noise, neighborhood is charming and very quiet. Cherry St cottage is a hidden gem out there in the world of overpriced and poorly taken care of properties. We will remember our vacation fondly because the house was so accommodating during a month that had everything blow in interspersed with beautiful moderate days. We even found where to get the best meals in town..."The Bungalow Restaurant" The deserts made in house at the Meat Market heading out going N was wonderful, the apple cider produced by any of the local orchards is fantastic...the theatre in town was a blast from the past, what a treat to see major box office movie while we were there! My wife and I stayed there recently along with our Golden Retriever and were very happy with the place. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed watching Netflix movies in evenings. Bonus fenced in yard for the dog and use of the garage which came in very handy as it snowed and was very windy. Would stay here again.

The house was just as stated. Enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the limited bath towels, and wash clothes (we had only one for each of the 4 people for the 5 nights we stayed and would prefer not to have to do laundry for a clean towels.). Also enjoyed the fawns in the backyard.
