Great location at the foot of the falls and close to the no cars walking path through the valley. Parking in back. The breakfast was good and the staff very nice
Since property is right on the main thoroughfare it was noisy at night. Also no AC.

Anna was the staff person with whom we dealt the most, and she was wonderful: friendly, helpful, funny, interesting, expertly knowledgeable, and generous. Gabby handled our reservations, and did so without a problem. Communications were excellent.
Lauterbrunnen was a bit more crowded than 40 years ago, but what place isn't? Truly, with respect to Chateau Rosa, there was absolutely nothing that we didn't like.

The location seemed farther from the train station than described, especially given navigating through very crowded sidewalks with luggage to the other end of town. But it was great for access to the trail, and right next to the waterfall.
The breakfast was mediocre. There was no staff onsite except for in the morning for breakfast and housekeeping. We were there for two nights, and our room was not serviced. There was a long flight of stairs, and no elevator, and nobody there to help us haul or luggage up. For the price of this place, I expect better.
