The air conditioned bungalows are fantastic, recently refurbished and very comfortable. The other rooms without air con looked a lot more basic. So much wildlife in the grounds and great tours available. Tour guides were excellent, except one.
The power went off every evening whilst we were showering. Not to the whole hotel, just a section of rooms, so it was the hotel's problem alone. I reported a broken lock on our kid's room door three times and nothing was done about it. Food in the restaurant was mediocre and usually arrived luke warm as if it had been quickly reheated. Whilst most of the tour guides were excellent, we had one for turtle tour, known as "monkey" who was downright rude. He led us away from the beach 20 minutes before all the other groups, who got to continue to observe the turtles whilst we stood in the rain being lectured about failing to understand him. Genuinely the only unfriendly person we came across on our whole holiday. When you book a tour, ask for anyone but Monkey.

Location is beautiful, in between the lagoon on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other, gardens are manicured with plenty of beautiful birds - we saw toucans more than once here, 14 minutes walk from a lively village full of bars, shops and restaurants. Restaurant and pool on site. Tours and transfers organised through the property all start from here.
Nothing not to like, room perhaps was on the small side but under stable for such location, breakfast could have been slightly more varied.

The property was beautiful and well maintained
I did not like that. There was no clear access to the path into the village, and when asking Staff about how to get there still did not get clear information over all the staff was very unhelpful and had quite an attitude whenever I asked any questions. Upon check in they were very unclear about how to acquire a water taxi and overall just did not provide a warm welcome. I had an issue with electricity in my room and instead of giving me the information I needed was told someone would come and fix it. No one ever came and luckily, I was able to figure out the problem on my own. But had the woman at the desk given me more information I would’ve saved me over an hour of my time at the end of a long day. The wait stuff in the evening for dinner was also very inefficient. I had to ask them multiple times for assistance such as getting a desert menu and for getting the bill.
