Situated in Fairhaven, this attractive cottage for $197 per night is a great option for your next trip. Well equipped 3 bedroom cottage with deck and big yard, just steps to a private resident beach! The Atlantic Ocean can be seen from the house. Fully furnished. Amenities include: Bed Linens & Towels, Wi-Fi Internet, Smart TV, Air Conditioning, Dishwasher, Grill, Fire pit, Outdoor Shower, Washer & Dryer, Beach Chairs, Beach Towels, Umbrella, Beach Cart and toys. Located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. Great for peaceful walks/runs and there are many bike and hiking trails in the area. Sleeps 6 people comfortably. Off-street parking for 2 cars. A small boat landing is available upon request. Well-behaved pets are welcome and can enjoy their own beach located on the other side of the jetty. Close to many wonderful tourist destinations including Cape Cod (30 min), Boston (60 min), Newport RI (45 min) Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Ferries (15 min), and New Bedford MA aka "The Whaling City" (15 min). No shortage of great restaurants and sight-seeing spots. Local shopping amenities include Super Stop n' Shop, Wal-Mart, Marshalls, Ocean State Job Lot, Brahmin Handbag Outlet and lots more.

Property was nice for a basic stay. Cottage is old but in a nice location. The sofa and throw pillows smelled of dog and we swept up quite a bit of dust/dog hair from under sofa. The kitchen was short on utensils and a blender would have been nice to have on hand. We kept the damaged blinds up so we didn't have to look at them. A step outside each entry door would prevent safety issues. The washer/dryer worked great and the outdoor area was great.

The property was very clean, cozy, and had all the amenities you would need for you and you family to go to the beach or just hang around. We would definitely come back again.

This property is located in a quiet community. We enjoyed the private beach (bring water shoes) and walks. The greater area has good food (we loved Turks) and local parks for young kids (Noah’s Park was so much fun we visited twice).
The home itself is older. The pictures are accurate but upon arrival, it could use some love. Aside from the unfinished cosmetic work, the primary concern we had was the electrical. There were some non functional outlets / switches and the A/C in one bedroom was barely in the outlet because it couldn’t fit against the heating unity. The fixes for some of these were concerning, particularly in the case of the bathroom. The outlet was not working so there was an extension cord coming in from the hallway that was partially secured to the wall. As former landlords, this wouldn’t have passed code in our home state and had me on edge with young kids. Since the cord was mostly detached from the wall, we put the led into the hallway for the duration of our stay for fear of it falling into the sink.
We’d also recommend you bring devices if you want to watch anything. We had issues with the TV and couldn’t get it to stream clearly but our laptop was fine (WiFi worked well).

We loved everything about Matthew & Carly’s home. They provided everything we needed for our week long stay - towels, toilet paper, paper towels, beach supplies, the list could go on! Although the property is not within walking distance to any tourist attractions, it’s the perfect location - far enough away to enjoy the relaxation of a vacation, but close enough to drive to several top travel destinations! We checked several things off our bucket list - Boston, Salem & Cape Cod! We also spent a day at Water Wiz (the water park where Grown ups was filmed), which I highly recommend! It was so much fun for the entire family! Check in / out was a breeze. If we had any question, Matthew & Carly were quick to respond. We just loved everything about our stay! They were awesome hosts!

Just loved our time in Mattapoisett
We just loved everything about the Talbots' rental. Location was just perfect. The beach was nice with soft sand and only a few rocks. The water clean and warm, no seaweed. The neighbors could not have been more friendly. The house is well stocked With thoughtful details. The layout was nice too. Bike path near by. Town beach pass provided. Only 6 miles or so to New Bedford which was great fun. I could go on and on. Stay here!

The cottage has an open living space that is sunny and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the yard, which has lots of shade. Not too far from the beach and a real family area.

Fantastic family vacation!
We rented this cottage for a week for a beach vacation and it was perfect. The house is rustic and could use some updates however this is to be expected of a beach cottage. The location is great, very quiet neighborhood with mostly gravel/dirt roads great for family walks and bike rides. The private beach is fantastic, we never felt the need to visit the other local beaches. Local area had plenty to do with young kids - parks, museum and zoo within 20 minutes and plenty of shopping and dining options in nearby Fairhaven and New Bedford. Would absolutely visit again.

The property is located in a Very private quiet neighborhood. The house has everything you would need to go to beach especially with kids. The kitchen is pretty stocked and clean. I would definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed the private beach!

Great Neighborhood, Spacious House
Had a great time here. Lovely neighborhood, very quiet, 5 minute walk to a very comfortable beach (except watch out for the rocks). House has plenty of room and equipped with everything one needs. Convenient to Mattapoisett, Fairhaven and New Bedford if you want to eat out. Will come again.

This time my daughter, her husband and their very active two year old had the Best Time!
They stayed over the Fourth of July and this Family Friendly Community has a Parade, Games for Children and rather a Pot Luck Luncheon to celebrate the Fourth! All very welcoming to visitors and residents alike!
Yes, the weather was July Perfect but this Cottage,the Beach and the Community do not disappoint!
This Clean Cottage on the Lovely shaded lot provides a welcome spot to sit outside. Should the air turn Humid, the ACs are a welcome relief! Also, the dishwasher makes life easy!
Again, the Living Space and the setup of the Bedrooms and Full Bath are well designed.
You are fortunate if you are able to enjoy this Home and this Beach Community!

Charming house and community for a relaxing week!
What a wonderful place to stay. The owners seem very thoughtful in all they provide in the house. The beach is so clean (and super private!) as is the water. The neighbors are quiet but friendly. Great eating close by (try Turks and the 143 Market butcher! As well as Frontera Grill for great Mexican). New Bedford is just 15 min away for the wonderful whaling museum & ferry to M.V. & Nantucket. Traveling into the cape is a breeze. My kids enjoyed the large yard, beds were very comfortable and we loved having a large table to eat at! Living space and kitchen larger than pictures show! Rare to have A/C in Massachusetts but they have multiple units. This house made for a comfortable and wonderful (and more convenient) Cape Cod vacation!

A great stay at the beach.
We loved our vacation at the cottage. When we arrived everything was ready for us. Games, towels, everything you could possibly think of for a great stay at the beach. The AC in the bedrooms was appreciated. This house is just a short walk to the beach. We chatted with fellow walkers. The only thing missing was a blender for my smoothies. It was a short ride to the lovely town and other points of interest. We had delicious seafood in all the local spots. I would definitely go back next year.

Great quiet place to reset, relax, and enjoy the coast!
This home has what you need to enjoy a few days relaxing on the Southern MA coastline. The community is QUIET, lovely, and the neighbors were very friendly! Go check out Horseheads Beach for waves & sand - it's worth the drive. I loved that there was ZERO traffic, NO crowds, and NO drama! The home does the job - not fancy, but I didn't expect that. Go with the expectation of being at the beach, riding your bike on the Rail Trail, and get ice cream in a different town every day. Want to re-set? This is the place!
