Email from hotel gave helpful directions to their carpark. It was indeed a warm welcome from the staff at reception. Very accommodating in order to give us a room that suited us better. We had a very comfortable overnight stay. Good size bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower. Cooked breakfast could be ordered for additional charge but we found their buffet breakfast plentiful. We only stayed one night as we came for a specific show at the Hall for Cornwall just a few steps away .... wished we'd made a full weekend of it especially as it coincided with the Truro Food Festival. Location was perfect - easy walking distance to see the Cathedral and shopping centre. Simply ideal for our first time in Truro.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable bed. The location is perfect for a show at the hall for Cornwall. Free parking is a bonus.

Short staffed in bar and restaurant one poor girl was absolutely run off her feet, she remained friendly and professional and able to fulfill requests despite her stress, i heard her say she was northern but didnt get her name shes a credit. Quite dated decor, Needs updating and a good deep clean, lots of dust on skirting boards and cobwebs it felt grubby. Bar and restaurant smells like a greasy spoon café, needs better degreasing and ventilation. Breakfast staff not dressed well, looked untidy and were congregated around the bar talking amongst themselves loudly throughout our breakfast we now know every ailment of one member of staff recent illness.
