I booked two rooms - mine was more updated, well set out, and super comfortable. The other room was older in style but still very comfortable. This older room had extra soundproofing slide windows, so I'm told it was very quiet. Also, Julian on reception was very friendly and helpful.
My room, which looked beautiful, unfortunately was not sound proofed for exterior noise and the traffic lights just below meant it was very noisy. It also had weird lighting switches which took me ages to figure out - instead of simple on/off switches with added dimmer function they were unmarked dimmers that had to be pushed in to turn on or off.
