This resort is a gem hidden in a traditional village in SE Bali. The resort is cozy, with a variety of rooms and villas; we had a terrace with ocean and garden view which was very pleasant. The vegetation in the garden and around rooms and villas is beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast has a large variety of Balinese and western food and the venue overseeing the sea is fantastic. Access to beach is not available due to coastal restoration work, but the hotel provides free shuttle to a nearby beach. The proximity to the Blue Lagoon (short trip by fishing boat) and snorkeling is a plus. We had a great experience, much better than in the overcrowded South Bali touristic areas.

We really enjoyed our stay, but I have to caveat this by saying that because we the beach is not usable, we got upgraded to a much nicer room (junior suite) - if we got the room we booked (not nearly as nice) or if we'd pay the full price for the room we were given (3x the price), the overall value for money would be a lot lower.
However, with this upgrade, the room was super nice - very spacious with a big terrace/balcony and right next to the pool/restaurant. The garden with the sun beds is beautiful - mountains on one side, ocean on the other. In terms of food, there is one local restaurant (quite good) and one Italian restaurant (mediocre). Overall very peaceful environment for relaxing, lots of green/nature - we ended up staying one more night at the end.
The beach is not available - as I mentioned, we got a big room upgrade that made up for it, but it's a real shame, as it would have otherwise been a great beach resort. The room we were initially given (garden bungalow) was very dark and dingy and quite far from the pool/garden - glad we didn't have to stay there, this upgrade was really night and day difference. The pool area is really nice, but it's a too small, as there are many families with kids, so the pool is not really usable most of the day.

Beach wasnt open at the time of our visit but we new this prior to booking.
