We had a good stay at Abamar Hotel. The location is fantastic, with direct access to a beautiful beach and incredible views. The front desk staff were always friendly, welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay.
The pool area is a real highlight—it’s huge, with plenty of comfortable sun loungers, so it never felt crowded. We also loved the pool bar. The drinks were great, the bar staff provided excellent service, and the music created a really enjoyable atmosphere to relax by the pool.
Would definitely recommend hiring a car to see all the beautiful attractions in the area.
Unfortunately, the dining experience didn’t match the rest of the hotel. During breakfast and dinner, the restaurant staff often seemed to prioritise Italian-speaking guests. We were ignored on several occasions when trying to order coffee at breakfast or wine with dinner, and we consistently found ourselves being served after other tables.
We also noticed that mosquitoes somehow made their way into our room every day, despite keeping the doors and windows closed. It might be helpful if the hotel provided mosquito coils or another form of mosquito control for guests. We made a bit of a game out of it and would see how many we could kill when we would come back to our room. It would average about 10 per day for the 6 days we stayed here.
Lastly, the dinner menu was disappointing. Compared to the much larger and more appealing lunch menu, there were only a few options available in the evening, and the meals lacked freshness, tasting as though they had been reheated.
