Great place to stay!

Great location. Very nice , helpful staff. Very cosy and clean. They had coffee and hot chocolate available 24/7 which was nice. Lovely place

Great place to stay.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's near enough to everything I wanted to see but also far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of a main city. I had a single room on the top floor (402), and yes there were four flights of steep stairs to climb, but these were all part of the building and added to it's charm. What I really liked about the room was the canal view, so well worth the climb and would be more than happy to stay in the same room again. The shower was great, powerful and plenty of hot water. The continental breakfast was very good and kept me going till lunch time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful

Beautiful and central

Location was great Very handy to the city centre and easy to get to and back by bus 397 from just outside the airport 6.50 Euro We had a room overlooking the canal. Breakfast was as expected continental and free tea coffee and hot chocolate available all day in the lounge. All staff very friendly and helpful

No bar or food other than breakfast. As a visually impaired person I found the streets in the area quite dark, very atmospheric but difficult for me to negotiate.

Lovely place in a lovely part of Amsterdam

Small quaint hotel in a lovely part of Amsterdam and ideally located to main attractions. It's not a swanky hotel but provided all we needed. Very steep stairs so not suitable for anyone who may have difficulties. Self service buffet breakfast so no cooked breakfast but lots of other choices tea and coffee available anytime for free in the lounge. Staff very helpful and cheerful especially the guy clearing tables in the breakfast room! Very conscientious.

Bottled water in the room would have been nice as it was only for sale downstairs.

We were very happy to have chosen the great place.

Breakfast was plentiful and yummy. Location was perfect. Nicest areas in Amsterdam. Beds, blankets and pillows were very comfry. The stay was great value for money.

The shower’s hot water supply was not very stable and so the tap needed to be adjusted from time to time. But it’s not a big issue given that the hotel was perfect in the other aspects.

Don't book the single bed

I liked the central location and close to all of the main sites I wanted to see

It was the smallest hotel room i've ever stayed in. I don't normally care too much about a hotel as I'm there for the sites and not staying in a hotel, but this was definitely not worth the cost. The single bed was so tiny, and there were only bath towels , no hand or face towels. The shower was very tiny as well and the water pressure was poor. I couldn't adjust the temperature of the water very well. It was either super hot or super cold. I didn't shower the last day.I was there because I didn't feel like dealing with it. I could also hear the people walking around upstairs. I don't know if the double bed rooms are better, but this one is definitely not worth it.

A recepcionista foi simpática

Houve um funcionário muito grosso e estúpido, atrasei o check aut em uma hora, não percebi que era às 11, o que tbm achei um absurdo, pois o check in está marcado para 15 horas e o check out 11h horários muito ruim, não vale a pena. Hotel caro pelo que oferece. Parece que estão fazendo favor em receber uma hóspede. Muito diferente do hotel que fiquei em Barcelona B&B boutique Ca la Maria, esse hotel em Barcelona merece 1000

emplacement idéal petit déjeuner très bon et pris dans une salle très agréable chambre parfaite

pas d'ascenseur et escaliers étroits rendant la montée des valises difficile au troisième étage J'imagine que l'installation d'un ascenseur est impossible vu l'immeuble

Lovely bed and breakfast in Amsterdam- great for exploring city

Great location, traditional building, friendly staff. Great place to stay if you want easy access to all the main attractions. Comfy rooms and continental breakfast.

I think if you had mobility issues this place might be difficult

Great location, charming decoration and wonderful staff!

I loved the hotel, Its charm ambiance with antiques as decoration goes perfectly with the building. The staff is very nice and friendly, they help you with anything. I highly recommend this hotel, perfect location!

The stairs , but I knew that since the begging and that was no trouble for me .

Ich komme hoffentlich bald wieder nach Amsterdam - und dann wieder ins Hotel Wiechmann!

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal; relativ zentrale und gut erreichbare Lage - in der Nähe fahren mehrere Straßenbahnlinien; differenziertes und sehr gutes Frühstück.

With an antique and historic atmosphere I was well rested and fed while nestled in a quaint local corner that set me up

Everything! My room, the location, I especially liked the dining room with its corner views of the canal and side streets. I also really enjoyed the local feel, it was as if the place was an apartment building that I could pop in and out of during the day and the other guests were neighbors.

I personally didn’t have a problem with anything but I noticed that it would be hard to stay there as an elderly person or someone who has mobility trouble. There were a lot of doors and stairs to maneuver through to get from the lobby and up to the rooms.

Very clean and comfortable, excellent location

Large and comfortable room with beautiful canal views. Everything exceptionally clean, the hotel seemed to be run with care. Decent selection at breakfast, the breakfast room was bright and clean. Comfortable downstairs lounge with free hot drinks all day. Really excellent location, close to 9 straatjes, Museumsplein and other main sights.

As it's a historic canal house, there are steep stairs and no lift. This didn't bother us, but it is something to be aware of.

Wonderful stay

View from window was the best. Large room and very comfortable. Great location. Beautiful antiques The staff was wonderful to assist with luggage.

Only issue was getting up the short, winding steps for two older ladies to reach second floor.

amazing location, really clean and comfortable room and facilities are great

if so had to choose something it would be the tea and coffee making facilities downstairs rather than in your room. But this is a really picky point as I couldn’t really fault it.

I'd definitely stay at the Weichmann again.

Location was excellent, within walking distance of major museums and historic sites.

Our only complaint was not about the hotel itself but the noise from the streets on Friday night, as people yelled and partied as they left restaurants and bars (this went on til 3am). Our rooms above the canal were lovely but also meant we heard all the street noise. The other two nights we were there were much quieter so presumably this is mostly a Friday night problem.

Very pleasant in a great location but might consider somewhere else next trip.

Location and staff were excellent. Breakfast was lovely.

I thought it was a bit expensive considering the small size of the room and no housekeeping. Getting up and down those stairs with a heavy bag wasn’t easy. But I guess that’s part of the charm/experience.
