About this cottage rental
Adk Star Ridge Cottage is simply a 'Peace' of Heaven. Located on 30 private & serene acres, it is adjacent to thousands of acres of pristine timberland. Neighbors are few and far between. We have only 1 other full time residence within 3/4 mile of the property. You can expect peace & quiet with the sounds & smells of nature filling your senses.
You may choose to simply lounge on the 750sq.' deck with a drink at hand and the bbq grilling away or hike a trail right from the side door to explore the forests beyond. The cottage has games, puzzles, wireless & Roku tv for those who prefer to stay indoors but may still avail the views through many windows & doors.
Hop in the car or on your bikes and travel a few miles to the Jay 'rapids' where you can soak, slide & cool off in the AuSable River. Visit the Jay Green, home to JEMS theatre and outdoor concerts and Summer festivals. Pop in to local artisans shops such as the Jay Studio (on the Green) & Youngs Gallery (just up Rt. 86) or grab an ice cream at Devins.
Catch some local farm produce, award winning cheese, yogurt, raw milk, craft beer and even whiskey and that’s just a start!

This was such a great place to stay for our family of 4! The owners are so responsive and helpful. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Very clean and just lovely! Thank you Mike and Mini!

We loved everything about our stay here. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed- we felt immediately comfortable and at home. The view at the top of the ridge is absolutely breathtaking. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We also really liked the location- it’s about 30 minutes from Lake Placid, so easy to take advantage of restaurants and activities there, and come back home to the serenity of the cottage. Also close to lots of great hikes. Highly recommended!

My wife and I enjoyed an entire week in early August in this spotless, well-appointed cottage on a ridge in the northern Adirondacks. Our hosts, Mini and Mike, were extremely attentive to our comfort, even texting us the day before our arrival to make sure we wouldn't have trouble finding the cottage.
The cottage itself is lovely--perfect for the two of us, although there was an extra bedroom with twin beds that would have been great for children or the right couple. The kitchen was well equipped. There were lots of good books and games available.
We had a great week. In addition to enjoying the area--hiking, swimming in lakes, taking in the gorgeous scenery--we also took two day trips, one to Burlington, VT by ferry, and one to Montreal. Both are easy to get to.
We had a terrific stay--peaceful, quiet and scenic--with exceptionally nice hosts.

My friends and I had a rather good stay at this rental home in the mountains. It was very close to town and ideal for a ski weekend. The tempurpedic beds were a dream to sleep on and the kitchen was fully stocked. The owners also stayed in touch the entire time and were very helpful when needed.
