It was a nice experience staying at Sri Ratih. The staff were pleasant and friendly, assisting with a smile always. The property looks nice and the landscaping is done well. It has a very serene atmosphere. You can walk to ubud centre from here, takes around 15mins.
We requested for a late checkout and 1 of the rooms was available. The front office staff took the effort to check with housekeeping before confirming to us which is appreciated.
Food :- The breakfast (not a buffet) which had to be ordered from their breakfast menu was good. We especially loved the vegetarian breakfast with all the different types of veggies. Gave a great start to the morning. My daughter preferred the french toast and said it was yummy.
Rooms :- We had booked 2 rooms, 1 superior and 1 deluxe. Rooms were clean, the bathroom was bigger than the deluxe room! There was sufficient space for all our luggage in the room and also a generous clothes rack in the bathroom. They also provided us with a separate single bed for our daughter. Housekeeping staff cleaned the rooms everyday. They left a small story booklet every evening which was a nice gesture.The photos in this review are of the deluxe room.
Spa :- We tried out the spa and it was a decent experience.
Food - We were disappointed with the dinner though. On the first night of stay since we were unfamiliar with the area we opted to have dinner at the hotel. They didn't have much options. They said they have run out of rice (yes, in Bali). So most of the local cuisine was not available. We chose pizza then and they said the oven was under repair. We finally ordered some pasta and soup. The soup tasted like some weird curry and did cause some digestive issues in the middle of the night.
Rooms - Both rooms lacked a good/full length mirror which was sorely missed. The only mirror available was over the sink and hardly the top half of my body was visible through it. The shower area of our deluxe room had a opening above which opens out to the stairwell. Thankfully the parapet wall was sufficiently high enough so that people can't peak in but it still made the shower experience an anxious one!
Spa - They only have a couple of staff at any given time, so book early if you want a particular slot. I had to give up my 15mins of free massage (which came with the room booking) cause they didn't have staff to cover the 1hr and 15mins session. So I got only the paid 1hr session. The pressure was good. However they don't concentrate on the feet, barely touched my toes. I chose aromatherapy and to be honest, didn't quiet get any note of the sandal oil and only a vague hint of the orange oil.
My husband did sustain an allergic swelling near his mouth when he was lying face down on the spa table. Maybe something from the towel that was put there. Looked like an insect bite. It subsided only the next morning.

Amazing stay at a private pool villa. Sri Ratih Cottages was centrally located with excellent modern amenities and services. The staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay extremely pleasant. The grounds are beautiful and our villa was immaculately maintained and perfectly captured the modern Bali aesthetic. It was quiet and private but with all the services of a top class hotel. Highly recommend!

The room design itself was beautiful. The resort seemed to be split into two, the old and and new. We were in the new part which was very well designed, the rooms were large and stylish and likable. Bed was super comfortable and room was kept very clean. We were at the back of the resort so did not hear the traffic.
The room had insufficient cooling and due to the bathroom being somewhat open air and the doors not sealed, this created quite uncomfortable sleeping conditions. Also the private pool had no heating and was just way too cold to enjoy the luxury. The location was simultanously excellent and not great. At the top of the hill to the main part of Ubud, meant some pretty sketchy climbs with traffic wizzing past.
