Loved Dominic the proprietor his knowledge of the building in times past is amazing. He is a historian, comedian, magician and all in all a genuinely nice person. Most comfortable beds ever! 😴

Warm, cosy, welcoming.
The Old Schoolhouse is a wonderful place. Dominick is so welcoming and knowledgeable about the locality. He allowed guests bring take away food back to eat it for their dinner. The vibe is very cool, almost like a hostel. I will definitely like to stay here again.

Served its purpose for one night.
Location on the Ring of Kerry for us was good in respect of travelling half way round, but to get to somewhere to get an evening meal was some distance away. The breakfast was good and tasty, I had an Irish breakfast and my wife had the pancakes and fruit which were very good. The beds were comfortable which for us is important. The host Dom was friendly and was a good host.
Our room was not as clean as I would have liked especially in the bathroom. The wardrobe needs the top repairing and the hairdryer looked so old and glowed red when used so I think it needs replacing. The whole place really needs bringing up to date.

A Mind-blowing View
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! This is the kind of location we dream of. The dining room overlooks green hills, goats, and ducks that will dance if we offer it food—a mindblowing view. The staff was super accommodating to our late check-in. I had issues in the past with Booking.com where we arrived a few minutes after the check-in time and were met with an aggressive manager kicking my elderly father out of the property. This was the complete opposite. I messaged them saying we would be late and almost immediately they eased my anxiety by letting me know it was all good. On top of that, the day we arrive there was a storm leading to poor visibility and GPS took us to the middle of a field. Do not rely on navigation only to locate this property. Had it been during the day and if we looked for signs, there was a sign to the B&B before hitting the locating the GPS took us. We got lost, knocked on someone else's house (we thought that was the B&B) and a sweet gentleman drove us to the B&B (it was down the street). Besides being met with the warmth of the neighbor, the owners, Dominick and Lilian excel in customer service. Dominick is HILARIOUS from the moment we stepped onto the property to the hug before we left, he made jokes that were so perfect I have a feeling he has the gift of eloquence; and Lilian was so courteous asking us what we would like and needed. Hands down, best breakfast we had in all the 8 days we were in Ireland. The B&B is gorgeous but what made this stay even more special was the way the staff treated us. I would dare to say they treated us with love.
Broke my heart that we spent not enough time there. One night is not enough. I have to go back to fully enjoy this magical place and people.
