The staff were nice, the breakfasts were good and the room was clean and comfortable. Convenient location for the Train station and close to the Poissonniere metro. There were some nice restaurants nearby, but that might just be most of Paris... nice communal spaces.
The payment was more complicated than necessary, when booking i couldn't see how to order breakfasts, so they were paid for separately. (This might be me or booking.com not the hotel). 'Pre-authentication' was also a hassle as one of my banks delayed the transaction and the hotel chased for it (the bank, not the hotels fault). The area had some questionable characters, but i think that might just be most of Paris... the one negative is the room door didn't close on its own... you had to really push/pull it to shut it. We had to remember that each time we left / came back. We kept our valuables in the safe.
