The hotel had a great atmosphere, making for a very comfortable stay. It was close to the center of Fukuoka, so getting around was convenient.
The large bath was a nice touch, especially considering the low accommodation rates.
The Wi-Fi in the room wasn't particularly fast.

Breakfast is not a super fancy spread but its yummy. The coffee from the coffee machine is one of the best I had in awhile, drink it with their special ceramic cup makes it extra good. The hotel staffs are very friendly, greets you whenever they see you. Rooms are clean, although it was stated they don't do cleaning on a daily basis, but they will empty your trash from the bins in the room. So it is good enough for us. Toilet is big, clean and spacious. Room is big as well, good for family. Location wise it is directly behind the Hakata Canal City, its only like a 5-7 minutes walk as you have to walk towards a connecting bridge a short walk away. Surrounded with lots of food choice, the various yatais are all within walking range. It is around 1km distance to a shopping area with Supreme, Human Made etc. Plenty of things to do around the hotel.
The bed was kind of sunken in the middle, so was not the most comfortable one to sleep in. The pillows are decent, but on a thinner side as with most Japanese pillows during our entire stay in the Kyushu region.

The hotel is centrally located, with a 7-Eleven right next door. Public transportation, as well as attractions and shops, are easily accessible within a 10–15 minute walk.
The room was well equipped with good lighting. I also appreciated the coin laundry facilities, as well as the iron and ironing board in the room. A nice touch was the welcome snack, including a bottle of water and sweet potato chips.
The staff mostly did not appear to be of Japanese origin, seeming instead to be from South Asia, and they appeared untrained, uninviting, and unmotivated. Communication in English was quite limited, and they were not very helpful with local recommendations. The typical small Japanese-sized room felt worn, with visible stains on the carpet, chair, and ironing board. Hygiene was a serious concern, as housekeeping placed clean towels and bedding directly on the hallway floor, and I unfortunately experienced issues with bed bugs during my stay. Additionally, it felt highly unreasonable that the window could not be opened for fresh air unless paying an extra fee for insurance. Lastly, the central location made it very noisy at night due to the lively nightlife outside, and frequent fire department sirens repeatedly woke me up from my sleep.
